General Description: Provides on-site field support to customers.

Performs complex installations, repairs, upgrades and maintenance on hardware/software and equipment. Education: High School or equivalent. Experience: 7+ years.

Specific Description: Strong candidates for this role must possess excellent support skills for BOTH MacIntosh and PCs.

This includes troubleshooting, installs, refreshes, BYOD support of various platforms and flexibility to handle whatever may walk in the door of the Center. Equally important are rock solid interpersonal and team work skills. Candidates must be able to work with many different personalities and keep their composure under stress.

This is a team-based role and very client-facing in an environment where Customer Service Excellence is expected. Our primary service delivery measure in this environment is Customer Satisfaction with a monthly goal of 98% favorable based on post-ticket surveys. Adherence to policies and procedures for managing tickets, appointments and client engagements is also a required attribute.

This is a fast-paced, work environment with significant variety and technical challenge for the right candidate who enjoys this type of setting. However, each technician is part of a strong team which means no one is on their own.

Requisition ID#400547 Key Job Responsibilities: * Health, Environmental, & Safety (HES) contact for Maintenance & Construction personnel in the Division. * Maintains effective working relationships with all levels of Maintenance and HES organization to support refinery maintenance and construction activities and assist in successful implementation of refinery safety strategies. * Be subject matter expert on Chevron policies and provide HES compliance guidance to Chevron Supervision, Mechanics and contractors during routine, project and turnarounds work activities, and to refinery contractor safety reps. Provides basic HES guidance to Chevron Maintenance and project construction personnel to address areas of risk and any performance issues. * Conducts or leads field compliance reviews, observations and audits on selective processes such as Safe Work Practices (SWP), Division Safety Audits, Human Performance / Safeguard Verification, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Work at Heights, Lifting and Rigging, Vac Truck operations etc. * May mentor several contracted safety professionals who are responsible for providing safety oversight during routine and project contractor work activity. This involves role model behaviors aligned with The Chevron Way and Operational Excellence (OE) Tenets in areas such as stop work authority and other key cornerstones for sustaining an Incident & Injury Free workplace. * Contractor Orientation presenter & safety interface at Maintenance Start of Shift (SOS) Meetings, refinery Incident & Injury Free (IIF) training sessions, Maintenance planning meetings and contractor Safety Professional meetings * Participate in the refinery Contractor Health, Environmental & Safety Management (CHESM) process and conducts audits. Provide general assistance to Contract Owners on CHESM audits for contractor work activities and conducts CHESM Field Verifications as directed. * Key HES point of contact during small turnaround events and works in a safety lead role in large event turnarounds providing safety oversight to contractor safety reps and workforce. * Assists HES leadership with case management of safety incidents in maintenance. Be the liaison in contractor incidents between the contractor management and Contractor Safety Team Lead. Required Qualifications: * High school diploma * Four years documented field safety/HES experience or related field in a refinery/manufacturing environment * Ability to speak effectively before large & small multi-disciplinary groups * Ability to write routine reports, document changing conditions and prepare correspondence as needed * Demonstrated knowledge of both Federal and California OSHA regulations. * Proven ability to effectively communicate (both oral and written) with, and influence, all levels of business unit employees including senior management. * OSHA 510 and 511 OR OSHA 500 and 501 certificates from an accredited institution (University, Trade School, National Board) OR Associate / Certified Safety Professional (ASP / CSP) certificate from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) or Occupational Health Safety Technician (OHST), Safety Trained Supervisor (STS), Construction Health and Safety Technologist (CHST) certificate from Council on Certification of Health, Environmental and Safety Technologists (CCHEST) division of the BCSP OR Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Safety / HES or other science / technical field * Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in a deadline-oriented environment. * Ability to read and interpret Refinery Instructions, contractual safety rules & requirements, site-specific policies/procedures, OSHA regulations, Operations & Maintenance procedures * Good computer skills in using email, Microsoft applications, internet references. * Must be a TWIC card holder or able to apply and receive a TWIC card to access certain areas of our facility.
