Overview

The field technician supports Cadmus' engineering services group by performing a variety of field technical services, including collecting and verifying building and equipment data and installing meters on HVAC systems. Qualified field technicians are able to work independently, driven to get the details right, and customer service oriented. The right candidates are eager to grow their skills and enjoy working with their hands.

The Cadmus Energy Services team serves public and private clients in the energy field, conducting energy efficiency and renewable energy program evaluations and project feasibility studies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform residential/commercial audits to verify energy efficiency measure installation and install metering equipment ensuring consistency and quality of data

  • Summarize findings for review to internal clients

  • Conduct scheduling phone calls and other related telephone work

  • Assist interdisciplinary teams providing technical input to their projects which may include using Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Ability to complete multiple simultaneous tasks

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends

  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time

  • Ability to work unsupervised while in the field

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Customer service oriented

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, including Word and Excel

  • Desire to learn and grow

Preferred

  • EIT or similar certification

  • 1 to 3 years of applied experience

  • Good understanding of HVAC, energy efficiency, and renewable energy technologies

  • Commercial building auditing or similar experience

The Central Sterile department fulfills this mission by ensuring the sterilization of instruments used in our clinical care settings.  The Sterile Processing Technician 2 performs preparation of instruments, supplies and equipment requiring decontamination, assembly prep and packaging, and sterilization. This position is part of a team of 18 who work together to ensure a full cycle sterilization function for all of the School of Dentistry.  The SPT2 will work in a fast paced environment, with a high degree of detail and accuracy, a certain degree of autonomy and will require time management skills. Qualified applicants who meet the required two years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician but do not have the required certification may be considered for the Sterile Processing Technician 1 (SPT1) position provided that the National Certification from CBSPD or IAHCSMM is obtained within 6 months of date of hire. Once certification is obtained, the SPT1 could be considered for open SPT2 positions.   Job Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN 2: * High School Diploma or equivalent * Two year' experience as a Sterile Processing Technician in an acute care center with primary responsibility for instrumentation processing and sterilization * National certification from CBSPD or IAHCSMM is required at time of hire * Basic computer skill (MS office); basic knowledge of data entry/tracking software * Demonstrable knowledge of infection control and best practices * Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service * Ability to work well in a team environment and great communication skills * Attention to detail in a fast paced environment * Demonstrated ability to read, write and understand written and oral instructions in English * Demonstrable record of reliable attendance, punctuality and proven successful performance at past and present employers * Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN 2: * Completion of Sterile Processing Course * Two years job experience with decontamination experience of dental or medical instrumentation * Knowledge and experience using axiUm software Qualified applicants who meet the required two years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician but do not have the required certification may be considered for the Sterile Processing Technician 1 (SPT1) position provided that the National Certification from CBSPD or IAHCSMM is obtained within 6 months of date of hire.
