Our client is an established and well respected leader in their field and they are searching for a FULL-TIME Field Technician for Internet, Cable, Phone and Security services in Carson City, NV and the surrounding area.

Position Summary PURPOSE This position commonly reports to the Engineering Program Manager and perform the following engineering functions: NDT Level III. Incumbent provides expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of products, processes, plans and procedures. Designs methods to improve efficiency in production, reduce process variability and assure compliance with approved 0methods and quality standards exercising discretion and independent judgment in the evaluation of possible courses of conduct and acting or making decisions after the various possibilities have been considered. Based on their independent judgment and within the scope of their engineering expertise, incumbent is vested with the authority to stop the manufacturing process. Effective decisions will typically result in successful part programs and considerable financial benefit to the company. May supervise other engineers and/or technicians on an ongoing basis or as needed for the term of assigned projects. NDT LEVEL III (Purpose and Qualifications for the NDT Level III Manufacturing Engineer may differ from other engineering disciplines.) Purpose: This position may be assigned to be Responsible Level III per NAS 410. This position may report to the NDTE Engineering Manager. They will be tasked with qualification and certification of NDT personnel to NAS 410, auditing NDT systems at their assigned facility and evaluation and compliance of all NDT processes and systems. The grade 8 NDT Level III shall be recognized internally and externally as a technical expert in their field. They are to be competent to act as a technical liaison representing PCC as a prime technical contact. Essential Job Functions: * Prepare and verify work instructions for NDT methods to be in compliance with customer specification and requirements. 2. Train, test and certify NDT inspectors in the method(s) and techniques certified per the latest revision of PCC's Quality Control procedures. 3. Analyzes and interpret inspection quality data, conduct research on product defects, and recommend modification in products or quality standards, where such appear to be warranted. 4. Serves as liaison with customers on items NDT related inspection and visit customers and suppliers where necessary on specific inspection matters. 5. Provide guidance and expertise to sales, engineering and manufacturing on NDT issues with regards to customer inquiries. 6. Perform system audits on all NDT areas of the assigned campuses and annexes. 7. Assist in the development of new NDT process and procedures with regards to new technology and customer approval of that technology. 8. Ensure compliance with customer and government regulations as pertaining to the inspection departments, including ability to interpret codes standards and other contractual documents. 9. Assist Responsible Level III as required and directed in all aspects of the NDT inspection program. 10. Develop new inspection methods and/or programs that promote cost reduction activities. Qualifications: * Four years of college with a degree in NDT, or four years of experience in each NDT method or a combination of both inspection and other processes. 2. Investment casting experience require (3 to 5 years) 3. Certified ASNT level III in Radiography (RT), penetrant (PT). Level III in magnetic particle (MT) or other methods may be required. 4. Must have excellent communication and analytical skills. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Internal: Engineers, production employees and various levels of management. Discuss product related issues. Requires tact, leadership, and influence. External: Customers, vendors Discuss product design issues and procedures. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: Ø Requires a BS degree in engineering with 5-8 years relevant experience, or a MS degree in engineering with 3-4 years relevant experience OR equivalent experience. Ø Broad knowledge of mechanical, industrial, materials science engineering along with investment casting technology. Ø Knowledge and demonstrated ability in engineering principles and disciplines; employed manufacturing processes; statistical analysis (data correlation); technical report and article preparation; preparing specifications; ability to define, plan, and complete major projects; ability to supervise/direct activities of professionals with diverse expertise.
