The Field Technical Specialist (FTS) will provide technical support to AHM automotive technicians at both Honda and Acura dealerships for difficult to repair vehicles. The FTS is expected to analyze the situation, and determine the corrective action to repair the vehicle.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site technical assistance to dealer

  • Reduce vehicle buybacks and trade outs

  • Assess skill level and training needs of dealer technical staff and provide training

  • Create Techline cases for all vehicle repairs and buyback review reports

  • Create field quality reports

  • Test and inventory special tools and support service engineering data collection activities

  • Provide technical support for arbitration hearings.

  • Attend training for new models, current issues, and new technology

  • Bachelor's degree, automotive technical school degree, or equivalent work-related experience (5 years 2-5 years of work experience along with 5 years of hands on experience as a dealership Technician (Honda/Acura preferred)

  • ASE certifications A1-A8 Automotive plus L1 or equivalent experience

  • Strong electrical system knowledge

  • Strong communication skills

  • Extensive automotive technical experience & trouble shooting skills required

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • This position requires extensive travel and may require future relocation

Supports the verification that the delivered minimum valuable product (MVP) requirements meet the customer needs based on the specifications, ensuring minimal defect in both user acceptance test (UAT) and production. Raises issues and risks and assists in the resolution of those. Responsibility: * Supports strategic product owner to identify and document customer business problems and objectives. Formulates and communicates the business vision, understands the user personas, market trends, competitors, and market price. Supports in defining, refining and documenting business requirements and user stories of the proposed minimum valuable product (MVP). * Interacts with project stakeholders to clarify and define product and system requirements associated with proposed solutions, including translation of business requirements into technical requirements which is an interactive process throughout the entire project lifecycle. * Analyzes and documents features and user stories and develops detailed functional and user specifications as a basis for detailed design, development specifications and estimates with SME's in technology development. * Interacts with technical product owner, system engineers, developers and software testers to ensure customer requirements are fully understood, implemented and validated as agreed. Executes user acceptance and scenario testing of implemented features and user stories. * Supports the user acceptance test (UAT) and formal evaluation of implemented features with the technical product owner, to validate and verify the operational use of a developed minimum valuable product (MVP) is matching customer expectations and ease-of-use. * Interacts with project owners/stakeholders and the development team, where required, to ensure a common understanding of requirements, expectations, activities, priorities and timeframes, tool landscapes and changes to these as they may occur. * Contributes to the creation, maintenance and review of product documentation including product and system requirements, user manuals, training material and release notes.
