We are currently recruiting for a Field Supervisor who will work with our A3 Communications team in Charleston, South Carolina.

Position Summary:

The Field Supervisor assist the Project Manager with overseeing the planning, implementation and tracking of client-based projects that include the following solutions: IP video surveillance; access control; enterprise wireless and networking; voice, data and fiber cabling; unified communications; and audio/visual solutions. The Field Supervisor role is primarily used on large-scale, complex and/or time sensitive projects. A Field Supervisor is not required for all projects and is assigned as such at the discretion of the Project Manager and/or Operations Manager.


  • Serves as an extension of the PM

  • Handles day to day tasking of onsite technicians

  • Set daily work goals to meet PM milestones

  • Handles day to day onsite communication with client

  • Responsible for quality control verification and enforcement

  • Performs routine inspections of work sites for quality, scope compliance and safety

  • Updates PM on project progress

  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget

  • Implement the detailed project plan to monitor and track progress

  • Effectively communicate project changes to the Project Manager and enforce change management policies

  • Report and escalate project issues to Project Manager as needed

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Complete project close-out documents and activities


  • Shall hold and retain certification in at least (1) VMS systems

  • Shall hold and retain certification in at least (1) access control system

  • Shall have a minimum (1) year of experience of basic configuration of physical security systems

  • Shall hold and retain the OSHA-10 certificate

  • Shall demonstrate the ability to effectively lead an installation crew

  • Shall have served as a Field Technician (or equal) for a minimum of (2) years

  • Shall demonstrate proficiency in the installation, termination and configuration of IP camera technology, controller hardware, power supplies, door hardware and credential technologies

  • Shall possess competency in the principles and concepts of physical security systems and demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge in the field

  • Shall demonstrate proficiency in low voltage principles (ohm's law, load calculations, metering, etc.)

  • Shall have the ability to effectively communicate with customer IT and Facilities staff

  • Shall have the ability to effectively coordinate with other trades

  • Shall attend trades meetings at construction sites as needed

  • Shall demonstrate the ability to effectively plan work days for crews of (2-4)

  • Shall participate in project commissioning and testing

  • Shall assist in the enforcement of standards related to final documentation

Learn more at The Opportunity:The Dry End Supervisor monitors and manages the safe and efficient operations of the Planer Mill. The Dry End Supervisor provides leadership to hourly team members while ensuring that safety, quality, cost, maintenance and production goals are met.
