  • Understand customer needs and provide expertise on job setup design. * Familiarity with jurisdiction's specifications and contacts. * Proficient in layout and reading/comprehending jobsite blueprints. * Knowledge of different materials and their installation methods. * Verify bid items from the field and understand measurement methods. * Employee Management*
  • Assign duties to employees based on their skills and abilities. * Ensure all safety precautions and quality standards are met. * Delegate additional responsibilities to crew members independently. * Ensure safe and correct operation of equipment by crew members. * Perform daily critical behavior observations on crew members. * Train and cross-train employees on equipment. * Ensure effective performance of job duties through training and monitoring. * Ensure compliance with all Policies and Procedures. * Collaborate with Human Resources on disciplinary actions, including performance reviews and terminations. * Recommend corrective actions or commendations for subordinates. * Discipline or remove employees in cases of serious misconduct. * Safety and Compliance*
  • Follow all company safety rules and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. * Inspect work, equipment, and materials for correctness and quality. * Ensure compliance with all safety initiatives. * Field Operations*
  • Oversee work progress and perform manual work on related worksites. * Communicate effectively with all Operations personnel on business issues and updates. * Responsible for daily field reporting of billing, payroll, and equipment. * Troubleshoot field issues, including equipment, weather, material, and personnel. * Make independent decisions in the field. * Direct operations responsibly on the jobsite. * Mitigate downtime, stem time, and rework. * Verify availability of necessary job materials and equipment. * Quality Assurance*
  • Drive and enforce the highest level of quality in all work aspects. * Perform and monitor truck and job inspections as needed. * Ensure jobs are completed within a reasonable time frame and set up field crews for success. * Customer Relations*
  • Work with customers to validate service quality, resolve conflicts, and address other issues. * Meet with the General Superintendent or other key staff as needed to discuss business needs. * Administrative Duties*
  • Ensure accurate completion of assigned jobs and paperwork. * Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures. * Maintain flexibility to work various schedules and stay late, when necessary, with little or no notice. * Perform all other duties as assigned.Qualifications * Certifications*
  • Prefer CCA or ATSSA TCS Certification. * Skills and Abilities*
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for building relationships with team members both inside and outside the organization. * Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail. * Self-motivated, capable of taking initiative, successfully handling and prioritizing multiple competing assignments, and effectively managing deadlines. * Passion for working in a high-growth business environment that operates at a fast pace and has high expectations. * Positive and friendly attitude, consistent work ethic, and a passion for success.Working Environment/Physical Requirements * Outdoor Work: Performed outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions and varying temperatures, including exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, dry, and/or windy conditions. * Lifting/Carrying: Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. regularly. Frequent lifting and carrying of materials used to complete the job. * Standing: Constant standing throughout the shift. The position may require standing for periods greater than two hours at a time, totaling more than eight hours. * Walking: Constant walking throughout shifts to complete worksite projects. * Sitting: Occasional sitting for brief periods in vehicles when moving from one location to another. * Reaching: Constant reaching to load and unload materials and equipment, including constant overhead reaching. * Stooping/Bending/Kneeling: Constant stooping, bending, and kneeling when putting down and picking up materials and equipment. * Twisting: Frequent twisting of the body from side to side. * Grasping: Constant grasping of handles, brooms, shovels, and roller knaps. * Pushing/Pulling: Frequent pushing and pulling of various work equipment. * Noise Level: The work environment noise level is usually moderate to loud.Travel * Daily travel to and from worksite, some overnight travel may be necessary.Requirements * Industry Knowledge*
  • Strong knowledge of the traffic control/construction industry is a major plus.-Move to required * Valid Driver's License and Clean MVR: Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean motor vehicle record. * Flagger Certification: Obtain and keep a Flagger certification. * Forklift Certification: Obtain and maintain a Forklift certification. * Drug Screening: Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens. * Background Check: Achieve satisfactory results on a pre-employment background check.* DOT: Pass a medical fit-for-duty test and hold or obtain a DOT medical card.Colorado Barricade Co. is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
