As a Field Services Manager, you have no problem successfully navigating competing priorities. Your technical expertise is something you take pride in, and you know how to exceed your clients' expectations. You will be part of a dynamic, growing and energized team and your role is key to the success of ECS. While your job duties may fluctuate day to day, here are some areas we expect to see you proficient in:

  • Conducting laboratory testing

  • Construction observation and site grading, to include: testing of soils, foundations, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, fireproofing, and asphalt

  • Supervising CMT operations

  • Scheduling and training field technicians

  • Marketing to new and existing clients while maintaining a client database

  • Preparing proposals and project management

  • Attending project site meetings


If you can accomplish the above, your boots are probably ready for walking right into this role. Realistically though, you need the following to be considered:

  • High school diploma/GED; BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university preferred

  • 5-7 years of related Constructions Material Testing (CMT) field experience

  • Basic concrete, basic soils, and radiation safety for nuclear density gauge certifications

Responsible for providing training and instructional guidance to field technicians. Responsible for assisting in meeting established project deadlines. Responsibilities * Reviews inspection procedures, verifying accuracy and completeness of inspection reports * Conducts routine maintenance of construction inspection equipment as well as the calibration and proper documentation of all applicable equipment * Informs construction manager of workload, overtime requirements and status of current and future projects * Conducts field inspections as required * Assists construction manager and engineering staff with special assignments * Other duties as assigned by Direct Report Qualifications * Minimum 5 years experience as a construction materials technician * Technical certifications such as ACI Level 1 and 2, NICET Level II or higher. (Technical experience greater than five years will qualify as evidence of competency and can be substituted for the required technical certifications for ACI Level 2 or NICET Level III) * Possess valid Texas driver's license and meet company's auto insurability requirements * Completion of Troxler Manufacturing or equal radiation safety course to utilize nuclear gaugesAbility to read and understand instructions, blueprints, specifications, labels, reports, etc. * Math skills to analyze sample results * Heavy lifting and carrying 45+ lbs. * Utilize hand tools such as sledge hammers, shovels, and picks * Good oral and written communication skills to communicate problems, status of work, daily reports, etc. * Ability to work outside and work on equipment * Ability to read and understand instructions, labels, reports, etc. * Presents a professional appearance to best represent the company * Ability to comply with all attendance requirements as noted in most current edition of Corporate Policy Manual Must pass a drug test prior to employment and will be subject to post-accident, random, and reasonable cause testing during employment.
