Performs field installation, maintenance, customer training, and service for products collaborating with colleagues in manufacturing, engineering, sales, and marketing. Interfaces with customers to understand their requirements, expedite repairs, improve operational efficiency, reduce future service problems, and address product quality, functionality, and reliability issues. The territory for this position is primarily in the state of Florida.

  • Troubleshooting and repair of electronic, electromechanical, mechanical and fluid handling systems.

  • Provide field installation and maintenance of electromechanical products.

  • Provide attention to detail and demonstrate a commitment to quality.

  • Take initiative to ensure excellent customer and verify that the job has been completed according to quality standards and customer specifications.

  • Communicate with proficiency using Microsoft Windows programs, Microsoft Office suite and Windows based programs, as well as email, voicemail, and cell phone.

  • Display mechanical aptitude through the skilled use of hand and power tools.

  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills in problem solving.

  • Project a professional presence in front of the customer and must be the liaison between the Company and the substation personnel.

  • Provide technical support to customers remotely, via email and phone, when not performing on-site duties.

  • Extensive domestic and international travel (75-90%)

  • Associates degree, military electronics training, or comparable combination of training and experience/apprenticeship

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repair of electronic, electromechanical mechanical and fluid handling systems.

  • Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier

  • Current passport, or the ability to obtain one for international travel

  • Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal directionand to collaborate with colleagues in other disciplines

  • Relentless attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Propensity for getting the job done right the first time and must be willing to go the extra mile to verify that the job has been completed according to quality standards.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office suite and Windows based programs, as well as in the use of email, voicemail, cell phone.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Mechanical aptitude and skilled in the use of hand and power tools.

  • Demonstrated skills in problem solving

  • Must project a professional presence in front of the customer and must be the liaison between the company and the substation personnel

  • Some heavy lifting up to 70 lbs.

  • 75-90% travel, domestic and international

Essential Responsibilities: Supervised responsibilities may include: * Work within hospital radiology environment to evaluate and troubleshoot imaging equipment issues and implement appropriate repairs. * Complete Preventative Maintenance on designated equipment. * Perform safety and environmental inspections ensuring compliance to Health and Human Services and Environmental Health and Safety guidelines. * Complete necessary service and repair documentation following hospital protocol and GE policies & procedures. * Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction. * Learn and ensure proper care of tools and test equipment and ensure calibration. Enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes and procedures regarding safe and effective use of medical equipment. * Mentor with and assist more experienced technicians on progressive repairs and resolution, and will work as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within his/her assigned area Qualifications/Requirements: * Current student or recent graduate of no more than 12 months from an A.S., B.S. or M.S. Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Imaging Technology or Mechanical Principles degree program or equivalent DOD military education. * Must maintain a cumulative GPA of a 3.0 or higher based on a 4.0 scale * Previous experience and/or course work in which you have successfully interpreted schematic diagrams and performed troubleshooting and planned maintenance on basic diagnostic imaging or electronic equipment following current standards, code, and procedures to ensure safe and effective operation of those devices. * Must be able to develop and maintain good customer relationships. * Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. * Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process. * Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background.
