The Field Service Technicians (FST) are our "boots on the ground". They are on job sites, performing the various testing, installs, and repairs necessary for each job site and recording all findings into the computer using our proprietary software, TANCS.

We are looking for people who:

  • Are good at using hand and power tools

  • Have a mechanical or electrical background and experience using construction equipment

  • Can lift up to 70lbs as well as stoop, bend, and kneel

  • Have a good driving record as well as can pass a D.O.T. physical along with a drug and alcohol screen

  • Can be consistent with applicable laws and follow strict safety and technical protocols

  • Able to work independently (after you are trained that is) and has basic knowledge of computers and data entry

  • Are able to communicate effectively with all levels, from customers through Vice Presidents

  • Can comfortably travel in a multi-state area, in some cases being away from home multiple nights in a row

What are the primary responsibilities?

  • Perform site assessments or surveys as well as associated procedures

  • Conduct leak tests on fuel storage tanks and piping

  • Install equipment and or testing of tank gauge systems

  • Enter and analyze test results into company computer and be able to communicate any issues or findings to Operations team for further direction

  • Manage and report inventory of parts and supplies on company vehicle

Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. Summary of Key Responsibilities Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: * Coordinates with Advanced Coffee Roasting System (ACRS) and devanning partners to ensure schedules are met. Assists with coaching and mentoring of new loader technicians. * Loads green coffee into the Green Coffee Cleaning and Green Coffee Silo Storage system. Ensures inventory accuracy. Maintains records and completes map of incoming product dock (IPD) for green coffee. * Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. * Operates forklift to transport green coffee from storage locations in the plant to the loading platform area. * Performs troubleshooting and preventive maintenance for the loading station and green coffee silo storage areas. Advises maintenance partners of conditions impairing safe and correct operation of green coffee loading and transfer systems. Works in accordance with established safety and sanitation procedures and guidelines. * Performs clean-up and scheduled sanitation tasks. Summary of Experience * Production or distribution environment (2 years) Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Ability to lift up to 150 pounds in a safe manner * Ability to understand written and verbal policies and guidelines, specifications and safety standards * Basic math skills * Familiarity with American Institute of Baking (AIB), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards * Ability to work in accordance with quality, safety, and sanitation standards, policies and guidelines Education * High School Diploma or equivalent degree preferred * Forklift Operator certification or the ability to obtain certification Starbucks and its brands are an equal opportunity employer of all qualified individuals.
