Field Service Technician

Summary: The Field Service Technician is responsible for the implementation, setup, troubleshooting and commissioning of new automation equipment at customer sites.

Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree in Automation Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Engineering Technology, Electronics, or Information Technology. 3 years of experience implementing automation solutions with customers. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Experience with Rockwell Automation controllers and operator interface.

Strong customer service skills. Possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Ability to travel throughout assigned territory (some overnight travel required). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electromechanical, Engineering Technology, Electronics, or Information Technology.

Experience with Rockwell Automation drives, motion control, networking, safety, and robotics. Experience delivering automation training. Duties & Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to automation systems.

Investigate equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Implement hardware and/or software at customer sites. Conduct routine inspections to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.

Collaborate with customers during the commissioning process to ensure successful implementation. Perform customer services on controllers, operator interface, software installation, program transfer, and firmware flashing. Consult with Product Management team on project specification requirements.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate records of service visits and equipment status. Deliver technical training to internal and external customers.

Respond to customer technical questions related to issues the customer is having on industrial controls and provide solutions and assist in implementation of solutions. Log and maintain customer interactions in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform. Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and applications.
