Join the team that operates and maintains the information technology networks for the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). Ensure and support the INSCOM mission through ensuring reliable, uninterrupted availability of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) including: networks, hardware, software, engineering, and specialized tools at the point of the customer's need.

Field Service TechnicianTasks:

Provide Tier I and II support at remote field and garrison sites

Perform server and desktop installation, basic cabling

Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks

Provide desktop system management involving account monitoring, security, operating system (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions

Be capable of running an entire remote site by themselves with demanding customers in austere or garrison locations

Maintain and load cryptographic devices and keys

Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on many types of hardware and software

Skills and Tasks. Complex - develops new concepts and processes.

Analyzes root causes and resolves issues. Supports more junior level technicians and specialists in their activities. Can perform all tasks of lower level technicians or specialists.

Leadership/Management. Works individually, actively participates on integrated teams, and may also lead a task, project or team.

Guidance. Requires guidance and direction from more senior level technicians, specialists, and managers only when dealing with new, uncertain situations. Provides guidance to lower level technicians and specialists.

Training and Certifications. DoD 8570 compliance or information assurance certification commensurate with technical objectives and services required within the task order. Applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment specified within the task order.

Capabilities and additional Requirements.

Current TS/SCI clearance.

Certifications: IAT II or equivalent (ex: SEC+).

Education and Experience.

HS/GED + 8 years

Associates Degree + 6 years

Bachelor's Degree + 4 years

Master's Degree + 2 years

PhD + 0 years

What You'll Get to Do: * Plans and perform installation, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for communications equipment and electronics equipment. * Plans and conducts training in both formal classroom and field environments on assigned Mission Command systems to warfighter and customers IAW approved POIs and training materials. * Conduct and Oversee execution of New Equipment Fielding Events. * Responsible for some phases of the fielding process to include; processing, inventorying by NSN's, Part Numbers, and Serial Numbers, and scheduling with Army Units for issuing of PM MC systems. * Responsible to manage and account for inventory of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE). * Provides guidance and direction to less experienced technicians utilizing strong technical and training skills * May be require for extended TDY CONUS and OCONUS as well as operations in contingency environments 50% to 75% in temporary duty status in support of Mission Command. * Required to lift up to 80 lbs for 50 feet or more. * Flexible and adjust to the rapidly changing work environment. More About the Role: Field Service Representative (FSR / FEL) to support for at least one of these systems: * Joint Battle Command Platform (JBC-P) family of products to include JCR, BFT, and FBCB2. * Command Post Systems include Tactical Mission Command (TMC) and Strategic Mission Command (SMC) family of products to include CPOF and BCCS. * Fire Support Command and Control (FSC2) family of products to include AFATDS and LFED.
