Field Service Technician

A busy manufacturer of industrial material handling equipment located in Blackwood, NJ has an immediate opening for a full-time Field Service Technician to join their team. This person will not only help in assembling and servicing equipment, but also to participate in onsite equipment testing, controls design, maintenance, and startup with customers throughout the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

Duties include: Equipment assembly, testing, and maintenance; Control panel design and construction; Equipment installation; Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting offsite on customer equipment; Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair equipment at the customer location; Train and instruct the customer on the proper use of our equipment. Job requirements:

Ability to read and design electronic ladder diagrams using AutoCAD; Ability to read and design pneumatic diagrams (P&ID's); Some knowledge of PLC's and HMI's; RS Logix 500, 5000 and FactoryTalk platforms experience a plus; Ability to download PLC, HMI, and VFD programs; Able to perform Input & Output testing.
