Field Service Technician

JOB SUMMARY

A Field Service Technician needs to be a highly motivated, technically experienced individual. They will travel to worksites and other facilities to perform VFD Startup and commissioning, repairs, inspections, and modifications to ISG control panels and ISG electrical equipment (Including PCC's, Analytical Skids etc.).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Working knowledge of MS Office Software, including Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint at a level normally acquired through completion of an Associate's degree or equivalent experience
• 2 years' experience in Control Panel Manufacturing industry with equivalent Field Service duties / functions

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Excellent written and oral communication skills with clients

• Handle complex and difficult situations with respect and courtesy

• Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Commissioning, warranty repairs, troubleshooting and support pertaining to Industrial Control Panels

• Accurately and independently perform repairs, panel modifications, commissioning, and other tasks at customer locations.

• Live voltage testing

• Programming and commissioning Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's)

• Short periods of travel for field service support

• Ability to manufacture electrical control panels start to finish

• Produce detailed service reports

• Red line / correct drawings & schematics in the field for changes

• Operate a company vehicle in a safe manner

• Support Control Panel Manufacturing and/or Quality Control dept when not in the field

• Negotiate terms/conditions of and place purchase orders

• Perform additional duties as assigned

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Required to maintain a valid driver's license

• Due to the need for unescorted access to security sensitive business locations and/or systems, must submit to periodic background checks

• Requires ability to travel by air

• Requires ability to rent a vehicle for travel

• Leadership experience in a field environment preferred

• UL 508A Training preferred

• Experience in the construction/manufacturing industry preferred

• Background check, credit check, MVR and drug screen may be required (will vary by position)
