Schedule is Wed-Sat 4x10's 10am-830pm Required to get Refrigeration license within 6 months An entry-level skilled position with a focus on training and skill development. Position is responsible for installation, set up, repair and ongoing maintenance of vending, cooling and/or fountain equipment at customer accounts. Diagnoses equipment problems, uses judgment to determine how to best repair or replace. Position works independently and has frequent customer contact. Must pass Pepsi Pro certification within required timeframe. May require lifting, carrying, pulling and/or moving between 20 and 45 pounds repeatedly over workday Requires kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling and bending when making repairs, often in low places. Position may require moving vending machines weighing 800-1200 pounds. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Repair and perform preventative maintenance on marketing equipment

  • Unload and reload with products as necessary

  • Educate customers on basic equipment repair and upkeep procedures

  • Install equipment by making holes and route lines to connect products to dispensing unit, connecting water and gas supply and finding drains for units with ice. For box syrup, build racks and connect lines

  • Fill installed equipment and adjust to proper mixture

  • Drive to location, evaluate situation and perform necessary work (may include plumbing, electricity, refrigeration, carpentry) * Collect accurate and complete equipment and customer information

  • Remove old parts and replace with new parts

  • Maintain parts inventory on service truck

  • Establish positive relationship with contacts at service calls

  • After each call, complete documentation on e-pad

  • Transport miscellaneous items (e.g., compressors for repair/scrap, cardboard for recycle, etc.) * Follow all safety requirements, regulations, and processes

  • Follow all driving rules and regulations when operating company vehicle

  • Complete of all job role training modules ( Pepsi Pro training) * Build competence and skill in diagnosis and repair of beverage industry equipment

  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: * 18 years or older

  • Pass DOT Physical and DOT Road-test if required

KPI currently has approximately 200 FTEs and $150m revenue with growth expected to double in size (at a minimum) through organic and acquisitive activities.</em></p><p>We are looking for an experienced Installation and Service Technician to support continued material handling growth in the greater Wilkes-Barre region. The installation and Service technician will deliver exceptional customer service through the installation of various material handling projects (conveyor, racking, overhead cranes, etc.) and continued service of this assets.</p><p>1. Coordination and oversight of projects by working with engineering, sales, and customer contacts.</p><p>2. Establish service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; and completing small installation projects independently. </p><p>3. Coordinating third party contractors as needed to provide required services on-site as needed. </p><p>4. Maintain rapport with customers by examining their needs; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements. </p><p>5. Servicing existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigate &amp; resolve customer issues or problems </p><p>6. Maintenance of KPI associated assets – trucks, tools &amp; supplies. This will include preventative maintenance of equipment. </p><p>7. Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. </p><p>8. Install and service various materials handling equipment including conveyor, racking, shelving, cranes, etc.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Prior experience in construction, mechanical installation, or service-based role preferred.</li> <li>Knowledge and understanding of pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.</li> <li>Must have experience in automation.</li> <li>Welding skills beneficial, but not mandatory.</li> <li>Must have the ability to read and understand prints.</li> <li>Must have basic project management skills and ability to take initiative and work independently</li> <li>The ability to use power and hand tools.</li> <li>Strong communication skills; written and oral.</li> <li>Reliable &amp; punctual</li> <li>Valid PA driver’s license</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Low-Voltage electric experience beneficial, but not mandatory.</li> <li>25% - Out of state travel </li> <li>This position has an expectation of occasional evening and weekend work.
