Responsible for the installation, set-up, maintenance, and reconfiguration of all SG/gaming products and assembly parts. Responsible for the orientation and training of junior technician
Essential Job Functions:
Install, setup, maintain and reconfigure SG/gaming products.
Perform advanced troubleshooting to the assembly level (printer, bill validator, cables, etc.), up to the server input (cables, switches, controllers, routers, etc.).
Order replacement parts and supplies.
Maintain contact with the customer on a regular basis while performing work on SG/gaming products, including follow-up after work is completed.
Responsible for completion and submission of required daily documentation, both written and electronic, including Field service Reports, Time Sheets, Expense Reports.
Perform initial quality inspection of delivered SG/gaming products to customer.
Perform final inspection to ensure proper operation after SG/gaming product installation.
Train junior technicians and provide feedback necessary to improve skill levels.
Act as Lead Technician on the job site with no supervision.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Maintain current knowledge of game components and jurisdictional requirements.
Keep supervisor informed of all on-going issues.
Other duties as assigned.
Technical background, including advanced understanding of electronics and server based gaming is required.
6 years related experience or AA with 3 years' experience.
A+ Certification is a plus.
Must have a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and be able to obtain CDL if necessary
High School Diploma/GED.
Technical/Military Training Schools are a plus.
AA/Gaming school preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Ability to train and supervise junior technicians.
Ability to safely use common hand tools including the following: screw drivers, nut drivers, wrenches, hammers, center punches, drills, multimeters and polarity checkers.
Ability to use advanced test equipment including: signal generators, line testers and flash tools.
Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and technical manuals.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Oracle, and be able to use the internet.
Basic network skills (setup TCP/IP, MAC address, ping, etc.).
Strong organizational skills (resource and time management, scheduling, etc.).
Ability to understand SG/gaming products, including theory of operation, abnormal operation, troubleshooting and how they interact with the customer's equipment.
Ability to understand SG policies and all job related paperwork.
Ability to interact with coworkers and customers (including difficult/upset) in a courteous and professional manner, including problem resolution and decision making.
Must be able to lift/carry 75 pounds.
Must be able to sit, stand, crouch, bend, reach, kneel, lie prone, hold, push, pull and lower as necessary.
This job entails frequent work in dimly lit, crowded, noisy conditions and around smokers.
It is likely that there will be long periods of driving from one job site to the next, with frequent overnight stays.
Must be able and willing to travel on short notice and work "on call".
Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
