We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Technician II. In this position you will provide technical field services, including maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installation, and customer service visits, to regional customers around greater St. Louis. This position may include occasional nationwide travel and will include some in-house activity involving facility maintenance, warehouse organization, and bench repairs.
What you will do in this position:
Regional Service and Installation Calls
Provide billable and warranty visits within ~2 hours of CE facility (and occasionally cross-country). Activities to include troubleshooting, component or device replacement, new equipment installation, and field repair of equipment.
Monitor and maintain service schedule via interaction with CE, HME, and customers.
Calibrate, test, and QC newly installed and existing equipment to ensure compliance with CE and industry standards.
Monitor and maintain van parts and tools inventory.
Train customers on existing or new equipment.
Sell customers all applicable products and services, and/or refer customers to appropriate contacts within CE.
Maintain and report daily record of hours, expenses, tasks completed, billable work. To include reporting required installation and other information to HME.
Facility Maintenance and Warehouse Organization
Perform basic maintenance tasks within the CE facility, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry tasks.
Provide expertise to enhance company operations, such as bench and equipment relocation, and process improvements.
Repairs within CE Facility
What you need to succeed in this position:
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Hands-on electrical & electronics experience
Read / interpret wiring diagrams
Good soldering skills
Personal computer operation
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
3+ years (with Technical School)
5+ years (on the job training)
High School Diploma - Required
