As a Field Service Technician, you are the on-site printer repair expert. You'll fix and maintain networking, print, copy and scan equipment (from multiple manufacturers) for our Hospital client and its local facilities.


The Technical Service Representative position is a highly skilled technician level where the employee is capable of a full workload. The individual is responsible for the timely and cost-effective maintenance and repair of office product equipment and for promoting and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction with our service and products. The ideal candidate must be able to work successfully complete and possess the following:

  • Maximize equipment up-time through timely response and effective and efficient repair with selective customer training to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Ability to troubleshoot and think independently

  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude and demonstrated skills

  • Knowledge of basic networking

  • Computer and analytical skills

  • Prior experience in maintaining and repair of office equipment preferred (Canon, HP, Lexmark, Okidata, Ricoh, Sharp, and Xerox experience is a plus)

  • Possess excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Complete all administrative aspects of the job on time and error free

  • Provide accurate feedback with call close information, part usage reporting and customer meter readings

  • Analyze customer needs, recognize business opportunities, and influence sales volume growth

  • Communicate and interact with customers, field service, sales, management, and administration in a way that is courteous, positive and professional

  • Provide 24:7 on call support coverage

What We're looking for:

  • Must be able to problem solve, conduct written and verbal communications, read and comprehend technical information

  • High School Diploma required, Electronics or Computer Associates Degree preferred

  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. Pull, lift, reach and transport equipment parts and boxes

  • Must have reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed)

What You'll Need to Win!

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Valid driver's license with safe driving record

  • Reliable transportation.Demonstrated experience repairing network printers and print equipment

  • Software application and network troubleshooting skills (TCP/IP protocol)

  • Proficiency in MS Excel

  • Experience accessing online manuals/diagnostic tools

  • Strong time/project management and organizational skills

  • Positive, team player attitude to provide great customer service

  • Experience in managed print services, healthcare and/or Helpdesk is a plus!

Various immunizations and/or medical testing may be required as a condition of employment for any positions that work on-site regularly in a hospital or medical setting

We are seeking experienced service technicians with excellent oral and written communication skills to work within the Tesla Energy program. Tesla needs a diversely talented and highly mobile technician ready to move quickly in order to keep our systems fully operational. The primary job is to service, troubleshoot, or upgrade stationary battery equipment as needed. Applicants should be self-motivated team players with a positive attitude! As stated, this role will require a significant amount of travel set around the service and upkeep our stationary battery network. Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and repair equipment as defined by the service engineering team. Be ready to travel for extended periods of time covering multiple locations with minimal notice. Perform complex and precise electro-mechanical debug, rework and repair. Perform tasks requiring a high level of skill and patience. Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic and measuring equipment (including DMMs and oscilloscopes). Develop and follow best practices and procedures for various maintenance activities related to Tesla Energy equipment. Maintain high levels of communication and feedback within the Tesla Energy service organization; prepare daily updates of work completed, problems identified, and future timelines. Have flexibility to provide support outside your region and possibly outside the country as required. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent, Associate degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years' experience in assembly and/or repair of electro-mechanical components, including systems with medium or high voltages. Must be able to work from complex and detailed documentation and/or verbal and written instructions depending on situation. Strong computer skills. Comfort with Microsoft office and cloud-based computing programs. Ability to communicate and function well in a mobile office setting. Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings. Must be reliable, have good initiative, committed, and quality focused. Willingness to work outdoors, on the road, at unusual hours. Ability to lift 75 lbs. Valid driver's license and insurance required. Knowledge of operation and maintenance of a wide variety of hand and power tools, shop tools, test equipment. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including the public. Ability to perform daily record keeping and reporting. Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines. Ability to work in a team-based environment and achieve common goals.
