We are looking for a new colleague to join our team as Field Service Technician who lives in the greater Chicago area!

In this role, you will be responsible for the daily onsite support of our customers with CDI Laser Engraving Equipment (Digital Flexo).

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform onsite services at Esko customers, including:

  • New installations

  • Operator training

  • Electrical, Mechanical, laser optics repairs

  • Preventative maintenance

  • Field upgrades and machine software upgrades

  • Traveling up to 90% (local travel: 50% overnight travel: 40%)

As an ideal candidate, you will possess:

  • Secondary school in electrical/mechanics/technical field and or work experience or equivalent military training

  • 2 years experience installing- maintaining copier printing, industrial or military equipment

  • Able to diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical problems

  • Good working knowledge of PC hardware, driver install (video, network, HDD )

  • Customer-oriented and with good ability to clearly communicate progress

  • Excellent record keeping (service reports and spare parts) and follow up

Hands-on, proactive and able to work independently

  • Works well under stress of deadlines and down equipment

  • Able to travel with overnight stays

  • Able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally

  • Experience with lasers is a plus
