What You Will Do:

  • Execute the commissioning and decommissioning of multiplex pump skids and components at oil and gas well sites for use on Jet Pump artificial lift, Salt Water Disposal (SWD) Systems, and other facilities.

  • Perform repairs and troubleshoot multiplex pumps, commonly known as "Triplexes" and "Quintuplex-es," and its auxiliary components for operation. Including but not limited to; electric motor and their variable speed drives (VSD), safety switches, flow meters, various valves, and lubrication and sump pumps.

  • Troubleshoot, repair and service Jet Pump systems used for artificial lift in the oil and gas industry.

  • Complete preventative maintenance on equipment noted above at regular intervals.

  • Write service tickets in a timely and accurate manner for customers to review and invoices generated.

  • Participate with on-call rotation for the facility, as required by the business.

  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work area and company truck

  • Know and comply with all safety policies and procedures.

  • Develop good working relationships with customers through professional communication.

  • Respond to customer calls and assist with technical questions.

  • Contribute to the department's continuous improvement culture.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Valid drivers license in state of residence

  • Acceptable driving record through Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check

  • Drug and alcohol test

  • Criminal background check

  • Education and certification check

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Strong mechanical skills with ability to perform mechanical field maintenance work.

  • Ability to uphold safety standards and identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.

  • Ability to actively listen, troubleshoot issues, manage difficult or emotional customer situations, respond quickly and express thoughts clearly, both orally and in writing, using good grammar.

  • Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner by gathering and analyzing information and developing alternative solutions.

  • Must work well in group problem solving situations and use reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

  • Must prioritize and plan work activities efficiently, work with minimal supervision and take responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work to achieve goals and objectives.

  • Must have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Create maintain professional relationships with customers by responding to requests and asking for feedback to improve service.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year work related experience as a field service technician.

  • Basic understanding of downhole pumps and completions.

  • Working knowledge of multi-cylinder engines.

  • Automation experience.

  • Employee is required to occasionally walk in customer field locations, which may include inclines, uneven surfaces, and a variety of weather conditions.

  • Employee must be able to regularly bend, stoop, crawl, lay down, twist and push.

  • Employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.

Work Environment:

  • Work normally is executed at customer field locations in a variety of weather and temperature conditions.

  • Some work is accomplished indoors and in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.

  • Work may include visits to customer offices or field locations.
