SUMMARY
This position has the primary responsibility for the testing, successful start-up and commissioning of new control system projects and the troubleshooting and service/repair of installed projects.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
o Review project plans and specification, operational descriptions and company proposal/scope of work.
o Work with Project Manager, Sales, external contractors and end-users as required to obtain required information and clarifications.
o Electrical/mechanical repairs/troubleshooting
o Software and operational
o Installation
o System De-bugging and Commissioning
Calibration of instrumentation
System interconnection to other devices/system
o Repairs
o Retro-fits
o Calibration
Skills:
plc, field service, technician, wire, panel, troubleshoot, VFD, variable frequency drive, HMI, service, Automation, scada, mechanical, Troubleshooting
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Associates degree in Electrical/Electronic/Controls Engineering preferred but not required
2+ years of start-up support, system commissioning and system troubleshooting experience
2+ years SCADA, HMI and PLC application troubleshooting experience
2+ years with standalone and MCC based VFD control of 3 phase motors
The ability to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics
User level experience with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, etc.)
Familiarity with NEC and UL508 standards
Nice to have:
Water and wastewater industry experience
