JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Field Service Technician (2on-2off) to join our growing team.

The Opportunity

As a Field Service Technician (2on-2off), you will be responsible for providing field service to non-core regions and surge capacity to core regions. The purpose of this role is to provide "Service First." This position will travel as a service tech 50% of the time and will work in production 50% of the time. You will report directly to the Service Coordinator Supervisor.

Work Schedule:

  • Service Rotation- 5 days per week / 8 hours per day (7:00am
  • 3:30pm). Overtime is required.
  • Production Rotation
  • 4 days per week / 10 hours per day (5:45am

  • 4:15pm). Overtime may be required.

  • 50% Travel is required

What You Will Do

  • Actively support and participate in the company's safety and health program. o Report unsafe conditions immediately to appropriate supervision.

  • During Field Service Rotations:

o Perform in-field service repairs, evaluations, and inspections, per specified processes.

o Create Service Reports after each service call, accurately describe work completed and work to be performed.

o Always interact professionally directly with customers including during potentially high stress interactions.

o Manage schedule to arrive on-site with necessary tools and materials to perform scheduled work. o Accurately diagnose and report all product faults, failures, and errors.

  • During Production Rotations o Ensure MDI and hour x hour boards are kept up.

o Complete shift turnover sheet. o Ensure schedule is adhered to and any issues are escalated to Group Manager.

o Responsible at the end of the shift for: Assisting Group Manager with daily reports as needed

Update MDI board

Ensure SIOs and corrective actions are submitted each day

o Communicate professionally and respectfully with all personnel.

Who You Are

Knowledge and application of basic problem-solving skills

  • Must possess the ability to learn quickly, be self-motivated, and work well independently.

  • Must show excellent time management skills and be able to prioritize activities based on business need.

  • Comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.

  • Must enjoy working with your hands.

  • Must show strong attention to detail.

  • Valid Driver's License and clean Department of Motor Vehicle record

  • Experience:

o 2 years building and/or repairing windows in a manufacturing or field service roll

o Professional interactions with customers (customer service)

Expected pay for this role is between $21.92 to $36.53 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
