We are seeking Field Service Technicians to join our team, across a variety of ProMach brands. ProMach is a trusted performance packaging systems manufacturer, integrator, and support resource, with over 40+ years of experience. We offer a broad range of technologies and applications, specializing in the needs of pharmaceutical, nutraceutical/vitamin, and personal care product packagers, as well food and beverage and contract packagers.

As a Field Service Technician with ProMach, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to our customers. You'll ensure the installation, commissioning, and customer service on all equipment manufactured and supported by ProMach; you'll support and service customers globally. Our ideal candidate is comfortable working remotely, and resides near a major airport hub.

Are you excited about this work?

• Install and commission all equipment manufactured and distributed by ProMach at assigned customer sites

• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and carry out repairs, retrofits and adjustments (such as vision systems, PLC/HMI, drives…), either remotely or in person at the customer's site

• Train operators and users at the customer's site

• Assess customer needs and seek opportunities to optimize the client's equipment and processes during customer site visits. Propose solutions such as preventive maintenance programs, spare parts, and training

• Make courtesy calls and visits on a regular basis to follow up with existing customers

• Follow-up with customers after a site visit to ensure their satisfaction and propose additional visits or recommendations

• Regularly refresh your industry and equipment knowledge and aim to be the point of reference for customers and colleagues

• Use internal issue tracking application (Sales Force) to support customers remotely

• Review and update procedures and support materials to ensure relevance

• Five (5) or more years of experience in equipment and automation, ideally in the packaging industry

• Associate's degree in Industrial Electronics Technology with concentration in Instrumentation and Control, or any other relevant training/experience

• Electromechanical proficiency for light industrial equipment

• General knowledge of PLC, human-machine interface (HMI), B&R, and Allen Bradley software (RS Logix 500/5000)

• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Excellent customer service orientation and positive attitude

• Ability to work independently and devise sustainable solutions

• Ability to work overtime, depending on customer demand and emergencies

• Ability to travel 80%+

• A valid passport and driver's license is required
