Job Description:

Position available in Parsippany, NJ / Stamford, CT / Mineloa, Long Island

The Field Services Representative performs the day to day services within their assigned region. Responsibilities in this position include performing and completing roof inspections, performing specialized tasks to resolve problems, and providing weekly activity reports within the region. Field work involves Low and Steep Slope roof types. Participate in training and meetings when directed.

Responsible for prioritizing, scheduling and performing warranty, guarantee and complaint inspections within an area of assigned responsibility without direct supervision. Additional responsibilities include such key duties as:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
60% Perform roofing site inspections as directed.
20% Assist in problem resolution, complaints and provide proper written communication to GAF and GAF owners/customers.
20% Provide technical assistance to internal and external business partners as directed.

Completing Inspections:

  • Traveling to neighboring areas to complete roof inspections as assigned and directed

  • Prioritizing open inspection requests to formulate a productive schedule

  • Completing Commercial and Residential Roof inspections including:

o Startups

o Interims

o Finals

  • Completing leak and complaint inspections as assigned

  • Completing timely reports for all completed inspections

  • Possess a strong working knowledge of GAF products and procedures

  • Possess strong computer skills related to GAF software systems as applicable

  • Sound general knowledge of commercial and residential buildings, essential, on-going

  • Knowledge of roofing-related products and their installation method, essential, on-going

  • Good attention to detail critical is for inspections

General Knowledge/skills:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written are critical for reports. Critical for advancement.

  • Ability to work toward team goals and provide solutions

  • Strong interpersonal and customer relationship management skills

  • Time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple activities and commitments

  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials, ladders, etc.

Education/Experience:

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent: Required
  • 5+ years of roofing experience: Required

  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred

The Director, North America Field Service is responsible for delivering operational excellence and organic revenue growth across the ULS instrument service portfolio for Thermo Fisher Scientific in North America. Primary goals and objectives center on supporting our Instrument and Enterprise Service offerings- delivering high service levels, high customer satisfaction, and expanding service margins through improved productivity and increased customer share of wallet. This role works closely with our ULS, Divisional and Corporate stakeholder teams to ensure effective delivery of customer requirements. Responsible for $100M+ in annual revenue and leading a team of 8-12 Service Managers who each have P&L responsibility within their geographic areas. What will you do? * Ensure that annual AOP targets (Revenue, GM and EBITA) and key operational service metrics (Response/Repair Time SLAs, Customer Experience, Inventory, EH&S, Quality), are achieved by delivering world class service. * Establish strategic and operational plans, budgets and programs consistent in order to achieve goals outlined in the annual operating plan (AOP), Human Resources Review (HRR) process, and Strategic Plan (STRAP). * Ensure revenue forecast accuracy and expense performance management activities * Lead team to understand and utilize PPI Business Systems (i.e. Six Sigma) methodology/tools to improve productivity and utilize strategy deployment to achieve our productivity objectives for North America Services. * Works with global BPOs (Business Process Owners) to ensure compliance will all service delivery process requirements, while providing input to drive continuous process improvements * Champion employee development and engagement, and drives accretive Employee Involvement Survey (EIS) scores to help Thermo Fisher Scientific achieve its goal of becoming one of the World's Most Admired Companies. * Lead, educate, mentor, and empower Regional Service Managers, and works closely with ULS/Thermo Fisher Scientific stakeholders to: * Improve service account retention and expansion * Grow service and product line SOW * Resolve customer complaints and manage Hot Account escalation activities * Achieve/exceed annual CAS targets by creating and providing exceptional Customer Experience for both internal and external customer stakeholders. * Work with ULS commercial operations to support instrument service growth strategies by successfully delivering on operational goals and ensuring adoption of standardized processes, metrics and accountability to drive top line/bottom line results. * Provide insight into new opportunities for ULS expansion through the field service engineers and customer interactions to drive business expansion and customer share of wallet. * Works with the ULS AMS Field Service Delivery Director on designing the optimal go-to market model and processes needed to successfully deliver contractual response SLAs on our self-manufactured equipment * Responsible for supporting field service delivery activities for new portfolio services and/or Develops and oversees depot operations strategy within How will you get here?
