Job Description:

Seeking a level 3 Field Service Representative to provide on-site Boeing representation and technical support for airframes and airframes-related systems on the F/A-18 Super Hornet aircraft at the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake for 18 months and then 6 months at NAS New Orleans.

There will be an opportunity for applicants at the end of the 24 months to transition to an Expat FSR position in Kuwait if desired and meet requirements.


  • Provides technical field support of company products.

  • Performs troubleshooting procedures for multiple systems coverage.

  • Resolves maintenance and operational issues.

  • Interprets technical documents and monitors product performance.

  • Analyzes technical data and evaluates maintenance procedures.

  • Develops and conducts ad hoc training.

  • Uses multi-disciplined technical expertise and company product support resources to assist the customer to achieve and sustain a high level of proficiency in the operation and maintenance of the F/A-18 Hornet aircraft.

  • This includes: the resolution of maintenance issues, the evaluation of maintenance procedures, providing technical guidance on and recommending new or revised troubleshooting procedures for the F/A-18 Hornet airframe and airframe-related systems.

  • Provides technical support for airframe and airframe-related systems and assists the company in investigating product problems; determining cause, and developing and implementing corrective actions to ensure customer satisfaction with Company products and services.

  • Performs troubleshooting procedures for airframe and airframe-related systems on the F/A-18 Hornet aircraft. Understands customer expectations and acts as the on-site liaison between Boeing and customer personnel. Works unsupervised for extended periods of time.

  • At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able (on potentially short-notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation.

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)


  • Minimum 5 years F/A-18 Hornet airframe and airframe-related systems experience

  • Previous experience in the operation, analysis, troubleshooting, and aircraft interface of the following F/A-18 systems: Fuel, ECS, Hydraulics, Mechanical Flight Controls, Landing Gear, Structures, Egress, Power Plants, and Secondary Power System

  • Ability to climb up to an 18 foot ladder

  • This position requires a current/active Secret security clearance or a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (Note:If you held a security clearance within the last two years, your clearance is considered current/active.)

  • At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able (on potentially short-notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation.


  • Previous F/A-18 Super Hornet or E/A-18 Growler airframes and airframes-related systems experience is desireable


Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements Planning/Property Analyst to manage and analyze activities associated with material planning and asset business systems to ensure company, customer and US Government property located on site are managed in accordance with applicable regulations and policies to achieve best value and operational excellence. Candidate will be responsible for coordinating purchase requisitions or orders based on program/manufacturing needs and existing inventory. Candidate will coordinate with other departments to ensure appropriate routing, scheduling, and availability of raw materials or components. Candidate will also be responsible for analyzing data, preparing DD 1149's, arranging disposal of plant clearance cases through DCMA eTool and performing property management database administration functions.
