The purpose of this position is to provide support/management/coordination/training of Field Service (FS) operation assets: personnel and physical. Personnel assets consists of Field Service Representatives/Engineers (FSR/FSE), Machinery Specialists (MS), Supervisors/Coordinators/Schedulers and Administrative Assistants. Physical assets include tooling, vehicles and facilities to support the above and FS projects.
Managing FS personnel include recruiting, hiring, performance management, development/training, disciplining and termination. All coordinating and scheduling of the personnel is also included. Utilization metrics must be closely monitored and managed per Elliott standards. Forecasting of assets must be also a focus of this position based upon current and future utilization requests and in coordination with projects management personnel. This includes providing input into annual staffing and ARA operation plans.
Position will be responsible for scheduling and tracking training of the above personnel. This includes ensuring training needs of America's are communicated to the Global Training team and then meet. Training also includes ensuring all personnel have the necessary safety, compliance and regulatory training required to perform their respective jobs.
Perform and approve performance evaluations for SVT and OSS personnel
Recruit resources as required based upon upcoming workloads
Manage and coordinate requisition of ARA for tooling and LER for trucks
Support field service Project Managers on field service projects
Manage office Administrations effectively and efficiently to support field service activities
Manage planners/project engineers to maintain effective project support
Internal contact with Global Quality/Training team, Regional Field Service Managers, Project Managers, FSR, MS, tooling personnel, technical support engineers, purchasing and parts analyst will be required.
External contact with suppliers, labor agencies, clients, travel agents and specialty vendors will be required.
Maintain FSR, MS and contractor employee files in the following areas: product lines, machinery types, skill levels, training - product and safety and listing of previous projects.
Technical training, scheduling, facility and equipment
Ensuring Mid-year and End-year performance reviews are completed on a timely basis and properly reflective of the individual's performance.
Ensure personnel job specific performance evaluations are completed and processed per Field Service procedures.
Communicating on a Global basis with other FS regions to maximize personnel utilization and training.
Prepare job requirements in accordance with Elliott procedures.
Implementing Phase I of P6 utilize resources within Elliott and external of Elliott to effectively execute Phase I.
10+ years of management experience with direct reports.
Engineering degree preferred, or equivalent extensive industry related experience.
Knowledge if the chemical, petro chemical, general industrial and power generation industry is preferred.
Must be a proven leader, technical trainer and manager with the ability to motivate and manage a large workforce.
Ability to design and implement training programs to meet FS needs.
Possess strong planning and analytical skills.
Must also have a good knowledge of job planning and staffing and be willing to work beyond normal office hours and on weekends as may be required.
