What you'll do:

As a Field Service Manager you will support, measure, and develop Field Service Professionals through leadership, training, and guidance. You will ensure your team of professionals deliver outstanding, world-class customer service, support professionals in resolving customer questions and concerns, and train professionals in the effective promotion of Vivint products and services.

The Field Service Manager will ensure products are installed properly, timely, and according to established manufacturer and industry standards; deliver frequent coaching and performance evaluations to each professional, provide detailed feedback and identify specific areas for improvement and further growth.


  • Recruit and hire top talent, ensuring new-hire paperwork is filled out accurately and submitted by specified deadlines.

  • Train new and existing Professionals on proper customer engagement techniques.

  • Improve performance of existing Professionals with regard to measure KPI's

  • Demonstrate new products and services to Professionals, and obtain any needed clarifications prior to product/service launches.

  • Communicate current installation and service policies, procedures, and techniques.

  • Manage team performance to meet or exceed operational and financial objectives.

  • Support and develop Professionals through continued training, coaching, and motivation.

  • Conduct monthly team meetings in which Professionals receive training, share concerns, and set team and individual goals.

  • Manage employee time tracking and time-off requests.

  • Review customer surveys and coach Professionals where necessary while also directly addressing customer concerns.

  • Ensure Vivint retains customers by maintaining a high level of quality and timely installation/service.

  • Collaborate closely with scheduling teams and other groups to minimize customer appointment rescheduling.

  • As needed, cover high-priority customer appointments where no Professionals are available to complete the appointment.

  • Ensure customer paperwork, including work orders, customer contracts, etc. are completed accurately and timely.

  • Coordinate closely with direct-to-home and direct-to-business sales and installation teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

  • Work independently while also understanding the need for communicating and coordinating work efforts with leaders and other employees in the organization timely, proactive communication.

  • Provide regular updates on team performance and special projects to regional and corporate management.

  • Ensure team has necessary level of Vivint products and equipment and that all products are managed according to policy.

  • Ensure Professionals work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, and loss of materials and equipment.

  • Set the ideal example of professional appearance and conduct for all direct reports

As a Project Manager, you will be working under the direction of the Executive Project Manager of the Northern Region. This position will be primarily responsible for the business development, sales engineering and estimating, project management and closure of construction contracts. Successful performers in this position will have the ability to develop, maintain and enhance ongoing client relationships. General Description: The Field Project Manager is expected to use judgment and discretion in representing the company. He/she is expected to show a high level of commitment and involvement with his/her work and the companys business. Responsibilities/ Duties: * The Field Project Manager utilizes and coordinates staff from all departments, as needed, for each project. During the life of a project, the Project Manager manages and supervises employees assigned to the project. * Flexibility/ Diversity - Varying work in varying locations. Team can be formed and reformed to meet the requirements of special projects. * Provide supervision, leadership and coordination of all ACCO departmental efforts including Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction and Service during project construction in a timely manner. * Actively involved in recruiting, training, coaching and mentoring. * The Field Project Manager is the single source responsibility to ACCO and the customer. * Perform all functions required to promote and finalize sales including concept engineering, complete estimates, written proposals, review contracts and direct meetings. * Supervise ACCOs activity from inception of sales to successful job completion. * Prepare budget projection and control costs within agreed upon limits. Provide letters, proposals, memos, contracts, change orders, strategies, etc. for good business procedures and legal protection. * Gain acceptance of installations and reasonable profits. * Maintain cordial relationships with all clients, vendors, subcontractors and the industry. * Attend all ACCO Project Management Sales and Construction Meetings. Schedule and coordinate pre-construction job meetings with department heads and supervisors. * Contribute and be part of special studies, committees, etc. to advance ACCOs technical abilities in engineering, planning and estimating, installation procedures, etc. All special assignments as directed by Management to accomplish mutually agreed upon goals. Relationships * Accountable to the Project Group Manager, or designee, as indicated on the latest Organizational Chart for the respective office location and available to the President. * Consult with appropriate ACCO personnel including all Management and Department Heads. * May supervise Project Engineers, Project Coordinators, Job Supervisory Personnel and others. * Maintain a community presence in an industry-based or community-based organization. Position Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses, etc.): * 10+ years of experience in estimating, design and management of Industrial Piping projects from $50,000 to $25+ million * Ability to operate independently and autonomously, and yet possess the discretionary judgment to know when it's appropriate to consult with others in the organization * Demonstrate a corresponding high sense of integrity * Demonstrated experience/ability to develop new business * Strong interpersonal and project management abilities, employing strong organizational skills to respond successfully to a high volume of issues. * BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred, but not required * MBA or Masters level educational degree and/or a current licensed PE are notable, but not required for candidates. * Regular and routine attendance is necessary for the role. * This is an exempt position and therefore no set working hours.
