Shermco U.S. is seeking a Field Service Manager.

Field Service Manager

Join our team of leaders in electrical power system maintenance, repair, testing, engineering, & training. This position is a working supervisor. You would be supervising technicians and working as a Senior Field Service Technician performing inspections, testing, troubleshooting, start-up, and data collection of low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems, and moderately complex relay calibration and power metering. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a team of technicians, excellent communication skills, and a strong technical background.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of field service technicians.

• Ensure that all service calls are responded to in a timely and efficient manner including working as a Senior Field Service Technician.

• Provide technical support to the field service team.

• Develop and implement training programs for the field service team.

• Monitor and report on the performance of the field service team.

• Ensure that all service reports are completed accurately and on time.

• Work with other departments to ensure that customer needs are met.

• Provide feedback to the product development team on product performance and customer needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Prefer an Associate's degree from an accredited 2 year technical college in Electrical Power, or similar experience and training from the military (Army Prime Power, Air Force Electrical Power Production, or NAVY Seabee)

• Must have at least 2 or more years of relevant experience.

• Must be able to work safely and adhere to all electrical safety procedures.

• NETA Certification (Level III, or IV preferred).

• Prefer OSHA 30 hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED training; training on each can be provided by Shermco.

• Must have general PC skills including email, internet, data entry and Microsoft Excel; experience with PowerDB a plus.

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.

• Must be able to crawl, climb, stand and lift up to 75 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodations. Must be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam.

• Must have a valid driver's license, and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record.

• Must be available for regular overnight domestic travel and occasional international travel

• Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime, and occasional weekends, holidays and nights.

• Must be willing to travel; minimum 50%.
