The Field Service Manager will provide day to day oversight and leadership to the field service personnel. This will include managing staff performance and development, hiring and disciplinary actions, succession planning and providing appropriate mentoring and coaching as needed. The manager will be responsible for the southwest territory to include Roanoke, Lynchburg and Charlottesville. Salary - 50 -65K (based on experience) w/ bonus option
Manage the day-to-day activities of the of Field Service Technicians.
Develop and maintain the technical and customer service skills of the team.
Spend a minimum of 3 days weekly in the field with the team evaluating technical and customer service skills, and providing development on a regular basis.
Work closely with Director and Vice President to ensure team meets service benchmarks.
Perform monthly coaching sessions, yearly performance reviews and development plans with each team member.
Recruit new talent as needed.
Handle any and all performance issues.
Ensure effective communication between techs, call center agents, parts, customers and other parties as appropriate.
Keep upper management informed of all customer services challenges and risks.
Provide Director and Vice President with regular reporting that allows for better resource management.
Manage the forecast and P&L.
Work effectively with other Managers to ensure overall excellence in customer service, effective resource utilization, and an effective team environment.
Demonstrated leadership experience. Prior experience as a team lead, manager or supervisor is required.
Technical experience is highly preferred. (field tech experience or experience with computers, networks, printers, copiers, etc.)
Outstanding customer service skills and experience working with clients face to face.
Professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
