Summit Commercial Facilities Group is a growing commercial food equipment and facility mechanical equipment service provider, recognized for superior technical expertise and customer service.

We are currently seeking experienced Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician(s) to perform installations, service and preventative maintenance of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems. This includes but not limited to: Small to large air conditioning systems, make-up air and exhaust systems, chilled water systems, VAV systems, warm air heating systems, dual fuel boilers, reach-in and walk-in coolers and freezers, chefs line coolers, ice makers, cold pan units, controls, compressors, chilled water/water cooler systems, etc. Strengths in Ice Machines, Walk-In and Reach-In equipment. Candidates with a variety of experience are encouraged to apply. Part-time and Full-time positions available.


  • HVAC/R, EPA Certifications required

  • Must be strong on all facets of HVAC and Refrigeration equipment repair and service, including electrical and mechanical, as well as exceptional troubleshooting, analytic and problem-solving skills

  • 5 years' field experience minimum

  • Building mechanical blueprint and control schematic reading

  • Solid interpersonal, communication and customer service abilities

  • Personal hand tools

  • Ability to support 24-hour emergency service for our clients (flexible on-call rotating schedule)

  • Smart phone skills and ability to record data of work performed


  • Certificate of Competency card(s) for Minneapolis and St. Paul (Master or Journeymen):

  • Fuel Gas Fitter

  • Plumber/Gas Specific

  • Refrigeration

  • Warm Air/Ventilation

  • Steam and Hot Water

  • Industrial HVAC/Refrigeration equipment experience

  • Proficient pipefitting skills, light sheet metal work, air balancing

  • Experienced in the operation of medium pressure steam boilers, steam piping principals and steam heating equipment such as heat exchangers, traps and condensate return systems

  • Experienced with the operation of automated building control systems (ABS) and related electronic and pneumatic operational components

  • Laboratory ventilation principals and controls including: Humidification, fume hood operation

  • Pneumatic systems, plumbing, electrical experience

  • Commercial Kitchen equipment experience (food cooking, warming, and prep appliances/equipment)

  • Senior Tech, Lead Tech, Foreman, Supervisory or Management experience

Work Environment:

  • Both inside climate controlled work as well as outside conditions.

  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders and scaffolds, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, kneel.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.

  • Must utilize safety equipment at all times.

Special Requirements

  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays from time to time.

  • Must be able to provide documentation of prior experience having background in working on Specific trade skill.

  • Must possess a current driver's license, and clean driving record.

  • Subject to a background check prior to employment.

Our Sr. Technicians make over $100,000 per year. Service Van. Summit offers Healthcare, 401K, vacation.

This position works independently to resolve all assigned customer and technical issues. Partners with Sales and Service management to drive customer satisfaction and business objectives. Mentors and develops less experienced staff members. Primary Responsibilities * Completes and successfully pass assigned training tasks on assigned products and responsibilities * Expert knowledge of Sciex and OEM products * Working knowledge of applications/software workflow * Expert in performing high quality installation, repair and maintenance on mass spec instruments * Assigned and responsible for customer satisfaction at strategic accounts * Performs IQ/OQ and other qualification products.
