Job Summary:
As a Field Service Engineer/Technicianyou willprovide programming services for control systems primarily in the water and wastewater industry. This includes PLC, HMI, and SCADA along with any instrumentation services that are needed. This is a challenging position that requires multi-tasking, a leadership attitude, and a willingness to never stop learning. Field service travel will be throughout the Midwest, 1 to 4 nights a week.

  • AS in Engineering or related degreeor equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Must have an understanding of control systems and components.
  • PLC programming experience such as Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500 and 5000, Modicon, Siemens S7, GE PAC systems or the like. Allen Bradley is preferred.
  • HMI programming experience such as Wonderware, FactoryTalk View, Cimplicity, Intellution or the like.
  • Experience with Windows based control software and SCADA software packages, motor control, VFD's, and process instrumentation is also desired for this position.
  • Communications networking experienceincluding fiber optic, radio telemetry, broadband, and other associated technologies is desired.
  • Experience with project management, covering initial concept/proposal, design, implementation, testing, start-up, and closeout is desired.
  • Experience conducting full functional factory acceptance testing is desired.
  • Successful candidates willpossess good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of co-workers, management, contractors, and end users.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Able to travel in the Midwest; generally 1 to 4 nights per week.

We have an exciting opportunity for a: Sr. Systems Engineer - Contract Broad Function This position will include design, development and verification testing of new R&D products. This position involves cross functional collaboration with design teams, clinical, marketing, regulatory, quality, and management. This position will also provide input on future products and help drive innovation. Principal Responsibilites * Primary resource for the design teams on system questions and decisions related to new product development. * Develop and maintain adequate documentation for required regulatory approvals of the system. This includes but not limited to requirements, design documents, test plans and protocols, test reports, verification and validation reports, risk analysis, hazard analysis, FMEA, certification tests. * Help with vendor selection for production of new systems and interface with operations for design transfers. * Hands on activity within the R&D team to support product development efforts. * Interface with physicians and develop requirements for products in coordination with marketing teams * Help prepare for and execute for preclinical, usability and validation and verification activities. * Monitor evolution of external regulations and standards to ensure products meet appropriate requirements * Ensures that all activities and interactions are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with BTG values The above duties and responsibilities are not an exhaustive list and you may be required to undertake any other reasonable duties compatible with your experience and competencies. Education and experience * Minimum of Master's Degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, physics, chemistry or related scientific discipline. PhD in aforementioned disciplines preferred. * Minimum of 2 years of industry or related experience. Skills and attributes * Strong scientific skills including data analysis and basic engineering principles. * Strong documentation skills. * Aptitude to identify and solve cross functional challenges. * Familiarity with IEC 60601, ISO 14971 and I.S. EN 62366 standards. * Proficient in understanding the workings of mechanical systems * Understands and is able to adapt to the rigors of a regulated industry * Ability to communicate effectively with cross functional team as well as customers and key project stakeholders * Experience with a PDP process and quality systems in a medical device or related industry.
