Yokogawa is currently searching for a Field Service Engineer.


Responsible for delivering customer satisfaction through analysis, design, and implementation of a control system or subsystems and strategies in accordance with customer requirements, accepted industry standards, and Yokogawa standards and procedures. Primary focus is on troubleshooting, repair, Software enhancements, Hardware enhancements, modifications, and expansion of existing Instrumentation, DCS and supervisory system. May act in role of working lead/supervisor for small projects, migrations, or other jobs in which the field organization participates.


  • Works effectively in both an individual and team environment. May work on multiple, simultaneous projects and various products of Yokogawa.

  • Assigned to the system installation, Application configuration, field Service activities and trouble shooting.

  • Able to work independently with the guidance from the Lead Engineer and the manager.

  • Proficiently designing, implementing, and testing a wide range of I/O, basic control functions, interlocks, sequences, operator interface, and other control components on automations.

  • Capable to handle the hardware installation, Instrumentation wiring and loop drawing and its trouble shooting.

  • Being responsible for accuracy and completeness of all projects drawings, databases, and documentation.

  • Being responsible for compliance with project Quality and completion of all Quality documents.

  • Ability to troubleshoot difficult control and integration problems with Yokogawa system.

  • Capable to drive the projects independently with the direction given by lead engineer.

  • Has a fundamental and increasing understanding of process control concepts and techniques.

  • Learns about the architecture and use of one or more Yokogawa control systems through training classes, mentoring of application engineers, self-study as assigned and direct project experience.

  • Exhibits the importance of frugal and efficient time management, and reports time promptly and accurately as required by company policies.

  • Works cooperatively and efficiently as a member of a project team as assigned by the Project Lead or Engineering Manager.

  • Understands and follows safe work practices.

  • Capable to follow Yokogawa quality procedures and documentation

  • Demonstrates knowledge of emerging technologies that apply to control systems and to automation in general.

  • Participates in in-house and external training and learning activities as directed by the manager.

  • Prepares presentation, and training material for customer and for internal training.

  • Serves as a personal example of frugal and efficient time management, and reports time promptly and accurately as required by company policies.

  • Knowledgeable to work in AutoCAD drawings.

  • Understands, follows, and continuously promotes safe work practices.

  • Travels 30% to 50% of the time.

  • Performs other tasks as assigned.


Education & Experience:

  • B.S. degree in engineering physics, math, or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years' experience in the process control industry.

  • Strong written, verbal communication skills are required.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the environment is reasonable. Physical Demand: The employee is occasionally required to lift to 50 pounds, able to handle the packing and shipping of hardware components. The vision requirements include depth perception, ability to adjust focus, close vision, and color vision. You'll work independently throughout the day in partnership with your manager, aiding in the technical support of Redbox and other kiosks -- ensuring our customers are taken care of, kiosks are up and running, and company goals are met. At the direction of your supervisor, you will work under shifting priorities for break-fix and projects.
