In this role, you will be servicing Valmet's Automation equipment, which measures and analyzes product quality at the customer’s pulp/paper mill location. The equipment utilizes the following components: electricity, electronic boards, valves, network products, actuators, sensors, analyzers, handheld configuration terminals, bearings, cabling, computers, Programmable logic controllers (PLC), different link to Distributed Control Systems (DCS), virtual system, computer security, pneumatics, water, air and radioactive sources.
Day to day activities will include:
Responsiveness to after-hours customer inquiries is also required if on-call.
Note: Although this position reports to our Atlanta office, the position itself will be based in the Vancouver, Washington area with options to also be living in Oregon.
What you’ll Need
To be successful in this role, a bachelor’s or associates degree in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Chemical or Paper engineering with relevant experience is a plus. This position also requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 80% in the Service region visiting our customers.
