Job Summary:
Responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of thermal, laser and impact printers and/or FHE (Forms Handling Equipment). Responsible for generating leads and sales opportunities. Also responsible for understanding our customers business and needs.
Essential Functions:
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs thermal, laser and impact printers and/or FHE
  • Repairs and corrects malfunctions as necessary
  • Prepares detailed service and failure records
  • Trains customers on products
  • Responds to emergency repair calls as needed
  • Communicates promptly and accurately all information required by internal support functions
  • Provides high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring that repairs are done properly and in a timely manner
  • Responsible for understanding the our customers business and the use of the products and Peak services in connection with our customers business
  • Identifies leads
  • On Call is a requirement
Other Duties:
  • Critical physical effort consisting of continuously standing, bending, and handling equipment
  • Stand-by duty as required
  • Exposure to limited amounts of noise and paper dust
  • Extensive driving (over 50%) to client sites
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in electronics or equivalent experience
  • Ability to operate within division or department policy guidelines using independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

In response to our growth, we have an opportunity for a Cardiac Surgery Field Service Engineer to join our Cardiac Surgery (CS) Service Team in the San Francisco area. Independently, you will provide technical support to our existing customers for our Cardiac Surgery Products. This is an opportunity to work hands-on with heart-lung machines and other cardiopulmonary equipment. For a Cardiac Surgery Field Service Engineer, using your skills to make a difference truly; * Provides corrective maintenance on equipment within assigned territory. * Responsible and accountable for all assigned company assets including tools, test equipment, inventory, computers, pagers, corporate cards, documentation,"intellectual property," etc. * Completes timely paperwork, documentation, and administrative tasks per organizational policy and procedures. * Performs preventative maintenance on equipment within scheduled time frames. * Communicates accurate technical findings to enable a thorough analysis of problems, root causes, and resolutions. * Sells service business as appropriate and works closely with the sales team to continue a strong LivaNova presence. This role is no easy task, but the opportunity to make a difference is real! You need to possess 3 + years' recent prior experience working in field technical support in the biomedical industry. The right person for the job has recent experience working in an Operating Room (OR) along with two years of technical college or equivalent experience. In this role, you will occasionally be on-call and will have travel expectations of 50% - 60%. You will need to possess comprehensive and efficient written and verbal communication skills along with superior analytical and organizational capabilities.
