The IIoT Field Service Leader implements and commissions complex, predictive maintenance technology at customer facilities. This role manages the installation and commissioning of state of the art machine condition monitoring and predictive maintenance systems. The IIoT Field Service Leader provides training and support functions as needed during and after installations are complete.

This position can be located anywhere in the Continental U.S.

JOB DUTIES

  • Manages installation and commissioning of condition monitoring and predictive maintenance systems at customer facilities.

  • Supervises or leads two or more Motion employees and/or contract employees.

  • Assesses and quotes system installation costs and hires contract labor accordingly.

  • Provides technical support and training to customers on operations or maintenance aspects of system equipment.

  • Serves as customer contact on technical and service-related problems.

  • Ensures that processes and environmental conditions comply with local and national regulatory agencies, and Motion's safety standards.

  • Determines when products should be upgraded or replaced including IIoT sensors or communication devices.

  • Support solutions previously operation at customers' locations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Typically requires a technical degree and five (5) or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Vibration Analysis

  • Ability to work independently

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving ability.

  • Strong communication skills required.

  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a stressful situation.

  • Experience implementing complex data communication systems.

  • Ability to manage contract location resources.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • More than 50% travel required.

  • Push/pull up to 100 pounds

  • Lift/carry up to 100 pounds

  • Lift bulky objects
