Summary: Maintaining production equipment in a highly precise manufacturing environment. This position entails accomplishing all preventative maintenance, unscheduled maintenance and installations on a variety of vacuum, temperature control and exhaust management systems. Maintaining and replacing equipment, tools, and supplies when used, providing written documentation of repairs, palletizing/depalletizing equipment and interfacing with the customer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, other duties may be assigned. • De-palletize and preflight vacuum pumps for use by the customer. • Perform vacuum pump preventative maintenance. • Deinstall failed pumps and install rebuilt pumps. • Prepare vacuum pumps for shipment. • Work with customer personnel to troubleshoot vacuum issues with chambers, forelines and vacuum pumps. • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Gas Abatement Systems. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Two (2) or more years experience interacting with customers preferred. Hands-on experience with vacuum pumps such as Edwards, Ebara, Alcatel and Leybold dry, rotary vane and boosters preferred. Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent College or specific relevant coursework preferred Industry experience preferred Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret written document Ability to respond in a professional manner to common inquires Ability to prepare reports, and write business correspondence Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
