As a field service engineer, you will work at a variety of labs, so having a solid understanding of Agilent's portfolio, and continuously learning about new instruments, software and consumables, is key. Applying your creativity, complex problem-solving skills, and can-do attitude is essential. Compliance and reporting are also important responsibilities, such as documenting and ordering components using a variety of databases. Having a natural instinct to deliver the highest-levels of customer service is vital.

You will be responsible for on-site installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of company and multi-vendor systems solutions which may include hardware, software and networking products as well as operating systems. Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites. Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems. Performs maintenance and repair services. Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance. Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business. Delivers (does not design) fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems and applications software. Serves as an internal resource on technical issues. May train other field engineers or customers. May calibrate equipment on-site for large volume customers.

  • Determines and develops approaches to assignments

  • Leads field services and support projects requiring coordination with other functions, customers

  • Solves a broad range of hardware and/ or software problems of varying scope and complexity

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/Master or other university degree within an IT/Scientific field highly preferred; may consider applicants with equivalent combination of education, training and related experience

  • 4+ years of related experience with analytical instrumentation ideally including both operations and maintenance of this equipment

  • Knowledge and expertise in chromatography systems with an emphasis on software (GC, LC, GC/MS, LC/MS)

  • Experience with the Agilent solutions is highly desired

  • Knowledge in IT (networking, windows domain, Client/server environment, Databases, etc.) highly preferred

  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities

  • Has proven track-record in customer support and logical troubleshooting techniques

  • Ability to solve, high impact problems in a customer facing capacity

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • A valid driver's license is required for this role

Well, look no further and join our team at ETS-Lindgren as a Wireless Field Services Engineer! This position will be based out of our Cedar Park, TX office. Position Description: As a Wireless Systems Field Engineer, you will provide onsite customer integration and engineering support. You will perform installation of projects from initial set-up to final customer handoff. You will deliver post-sales technical support and/or service in an overall effort to grow the company's service sales as well as provide system demo and training to customers, reps, and field engineers both on hardware and software. In addition, you will perform measurements and tests as required to support engineering/prototype development. You will develop work instructions and documentation to support onsite activities. Review existing documentation for accuracy and update as required. You also will perform and record system verification tests and prepare the systems to be ready for final acceptance at our customer's site. Minimum Requirements: * 2-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Must possess or able to obtain a valid passport for international travel. * Ability to rent a vehicle from a nationally recognized rental car company. * Must be willing to travel >85% of the time with short notice. Occasional weekends required. Preferences: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field. RF or Wireless experience. * Use of applicable test equipment such as EMI Test Receivers. Vector Network Analyzers, Signal Sources, RF Power Amplifiers and Communication Testers. * Understand measurement traceability as it relates to the wireless and EMC labs.
