We are currently seeking a field service engineer who will be responsible for maintaining instruments and customer relationships in the Boston area.

What we'll get you doing:

  • Serve as lead to assigned customers - complete troubleshooting, installations, validations, maintenance, and service repair needs on designated product lines. Focus on customer needs and satisfaction, while building and fostering positive and professional relationships with both external and internal customers.

  • Identify business opportunities (PM's, new Service Plan leads, new system leads) that help us continue to deliver double-digit growth.

  • Keep up to date on daily administrative responsibilities such as completing work orders, returning parts, following up with customers, etc.

The essential requirements of the role include:

  • Associate degree with 3+ years of experience. We will consider trade school or appropriate industry experience. Bachelor's degree in engineering, Biology, or related field is preferred.

  • A valid driver's license and meeting Molecular Device's safe driver standards.

  • Travel within Boston and the surrounding areas with up to 50% travel outside the defined territory.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Scientific research instruments, scientific background, or a similar technical profession.

  • Microsoft Office suite of applications. The ability to quickly learn and master additional software applications desired.

  • Hands-on field instrumentation.

The hourly range for this role is $27.50 - $36.80 per hour This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
