Water purification systems for dialysis facilities, including hemodialysis dialyzer and reprocessing systems, as well as sterilants and filtration products. This segment is operated through Mar Cor Purification, Inc. and MEDIVATORS.


Single-use, infection prevention products used primarily in the dental market including face masks, sterilization pouches, towels and bibs, tray covers, saliva ejectors, germicidal wipes, plastic cups and disinfectants. This segment is operated through Crosstex International, Inc.

Job OverviewThe Field Service Engineer is accountable for the timeliness and quality of site inspections, installation, programming, repair and preventative maintenance of Cantel's products in central sterile processing to GI, urology, and pulmonary facilities that use flexible endoscopes within his/her assigned territory.Main Responsibilities

  • Completes technical assignments to install, modify, and repair Cantel's equipment at customer sites.

  • Analyzes and repairs mechanical, electrical, and software failures.

  • Operates and programs re-processors, understanding all technical aspects and re-processor parameter functions.

  • Completes in a timely manner standard equipment documentation and reports to include service reports, installation records, etc.

  • Provides customers with timely and accurate technical information in a positive and straightforward manner.

  • Provides assistance/consultation to customers in site preparation for equipment installations.

  • Provides technical support as required during selling processes.

  • Identify sales opportunities and pass the information on to the appropriate sales person.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Associate degree in Electro-mechanics or equivalent is required.

  • Three or more years of electro-mechanical experience in capital equipment, preferably in the medical device industry.

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. and have a valid drivers' license.

  • Must have the ability to resolve conflict and work in a team environment.

  • Candidate must be able to perform occasional weekend work when necessary.

  • A high degree of initiative and creativity is required due to the complex nature of the situations and conditions of the position.

  • Ability to think clearly and positively and stay calm in high-pressure situations.

  • Pro-active.

  • Ability to work with others.

  • Enthusiasm, especially to hardware problem solving.

  • Exhibits care and attention to details.

  • Meets deadlines and commitments.

  • Strong written/oral communication skills.

  • Functional PC and appropriate software skills required.

  • Ability to travel extensively, often on short notice.

  • Must be able to squat and kneel extensively for an extended period of time to perform required maintenance.

  • Must be able to perform occasional weekend work and work outside normal assigned area when necessary.

As a Field Service Engineer, you'll provide on-site maintenance and technical support services to our amazing customers – including exciting professional and collegiate sports teams. The desired location for this position will be Louisville, KY. * Maintain Daktronics equipment within your service area. * Provide on-site technical and maintenance services for all display and control equipment. * You will be dispatched to customer sites for service calls. * Your schedule may include nights, weekends, event support and on-call situations. * Follow our standardized procedures for each service event, including documentation. * Remote Daktronics equipment support. * Provide technical phone support to internal and external customers as assigned. * Gain detailed technical knowledge of Daktronics displays and controllers through formal classroom and online training as well as through on the job training. * Assist as requested in training Service Partners and other technical staff. * Travel via ground or air to customer sites within your area; company vehicle provided. * Use your excellent communications skills to competently represent Daktronics to customers, providing a positive service experience each time. * Work effectively as a team member assisting when and where needed. Become knowledgeable about and follow company procedures. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Bachelor in Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, or similar technical degree. * Must be able to work from a home-office which requires maintaining a distraction free, quiet, work environment. * Ability to travel via ground and air both domestic and international. Valid driver's license and good driving record. Motor vehicle record will be checked. * May be assigned to travel for extended lengths of time. * Able to work at heights or from a ladder and able to carry ladder/tools/parts from vehicle to work site. * Ability to lift, carry and move up to 65 pounds. * Available to work evenings and/or weekends to support facility schedules. May include working with short-notice and on-call responsibilities. * Must be self-motivated, organized and responsible to plan, execute, and document work. * Must be able to complete work responsibilities with little supervision. Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment. * Strong computer skills: Internet navigation, word processing, spreadsheets, and Daktronics internal programs. * Fluent in English, both written and verbal. * Background check will be conducted.
