Growing metal forming equipment manufacturer is looking to add a field service engineer to their team. In this role you will be traveling 90% of the time domestically and internationally to customer sites.
Customer facing role that requires strong communication and service
Onsite at customers: you will be responsible for working with the service manager to diagnose equipment issues and come up with a solution.
When not traveling, will be working onsite to help support machine builds and understand their equipment.
Resolving mechanical issues, troubleshooting PLCs and hydraulics. They could be working on installing/integrating new equipment or troubleshooting something already in place.
1st shift; avg. 50 hour work week
Travel:
Typically 2-3 nights away but there are times where you could be gone for as long as 2 weeks
All of the flights and hotel stays will be booked through their travel agent
Meals and incidentals are expensed.
A big perk of this role is that you will receive premium rates for travel and stay clocked in while in the air or on the road
Anything worked for 40 hours is paid time and a half.
MUST HAVE:
5 years of experience servicing capital equipment
Experience traveling and ability to travel 90%
Strong Communication Skills (customer facing)
Experience plugging into PLCs to troubleshoot and edit (Allen Bradley or Siemens is fine)
nice to have:
PLC Programming experience
Experience with CNC equipment
Siemens PLC experience
