Field Service Engineer
Location: Near I17 and the 303
90% travel required (domestic & international)
Direct Placement
Responsibilities:
Adjustment Technician is part of the Site Project Management Team which is responsible for installing company equipment at customers facilities
The position is responsible for field commissioning AMHS equipment from first power application, through final acceptance testing with the customer
Use supplied corporate processes to locate software revisions and appropriate documentation, and verify software status and evaluate appropriate information for log analysis
Install software with minimum supervision, using the provided procedures and release notes
Provide on the job training to customer technicians and internal technicians in routine operation, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of assigned products
Write and edit technical procedures within scope of responsibility and capability
Effectively troubleshoot issues for both hardware and software, and perform log analysis of system errors to determine hardware or software issue
Serve as a company liaison between customer and company engineering for installation and service operations
Complete Daily Log Installation Reports, attend whiteboard meetings, and prepare and submit all necessary paperwork and Status Reporting with supervision
Travel on short notice, as well as extended travel time (Domestic & International)
Data entry, data manipulation, retrieval, and report creation and submission to Installation Site Manager
Recommend technical solutions/resolutions to engineering groups
To prepare detailed check sheet on all the work that is done on each machine

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of electrical diagnostic instruments and shop/hand tools
Working knowledge of Digital Voltmeter and Oscilloscope functionality
Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints and diagnose/troubleshoot electromechanical devices
PC skills (MS Office, Excel, Windows)
Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain all necessary travel document
HS Diploma or GED
2+ years of technical field service experience in the semiconductor industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
REASONING ABILITY
Excellent judgment, troubleshooting and analytical capabilities
Ability to use standard statistical analysis methodologies
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
