Field Service Engineer- Lafayette, IN

Job Description

This company is seeking a Field Service Engineers for the Lafayette, IN area. The role involves traveling to client sites, with 70% of the work around the Marion County/Lafayette, IN area and no overnight travel. You will work with engineers on the startup and commissioning of customer systems in the electronic, electrical, and pneumatic space, follow drawing packages and update them as needed, set up workstations with all necessary software, communicate with project managers on project updates and timelines, and troubleshoot any issues throughout startup and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client sites, primarily within Marion County/Lafayette, IN area.
• Work with engineers on startup and commissioning of customer systems in electronic, electrical, and pneumatic spaces.
• Follow and update drawing packages as necessary.
• Set up workstations with all required software.
• Communicate with project managers on project updates and timelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during startup and maintenance.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Mechanical and electrical background.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to travel to customer sites.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate degree in HVAC, Industrial Technology, or Electronics.
• 1-3 years of experience troubleshooting mechanical or electrical equipment.

Work Environment

The role requires being onsite at customers' locations, datacenters, and schools. While there is an office in Muncie, IN, techs rarely need to go there. You will have a company truck, tools, computer, and phone. Occasionally, you will work with other techs depending on the size of the project, but the role involves a lot of independent work. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $46.00/hr.
