ABB is seeking a Service Engineer for its Cleveland, Ohio location. This role is responsible for analysis of requirements and assessment of changes. It also includes consultation and negotiation with customers involving installation, modification and repair of equipment and products in field locations.Provide technical support for field service functions involving the installation, modification, testing or repairing of Company products and equipment. Resolve or provide assistance in resolving technical and logistics problems and recommend and implement measures to improve customer relations. This role acts as an extension of the sales team.
Professionals ( > 2 years of work experience)

Provide technical support for field service functions involving the installation, modification, testing or repairing of Company products and equipment. Resolve or provide assistance in resolving technical and logistics problems and recommend and implement measures to improve customer relations. This role acts as an extension of the sales team.
Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform engineering activities and provide technical advice associate with various field projects. Monitor progress and quality, inform senior engineer of significant developments or problems and independently resolve the less complex issues.
Assist more experienced engineers on complex tasks. Inform other groups such as Business Development, of potential opportunities for new business.
Participate in conferences with customer's operating management and other personnel, consulting engineers, contractors and vendors, and provide limited technical advice associated with own area of expertise.
Compile and evaluate data to determine and resolve operating problems or malfunctions. Develop recommendations and prepare reports for review. Maintain detailed records and logs.
Utilize computer programs for various engineering, administrative, and office procedural purposes. Perform calculations, conduct analyses and provide pertinent data and information.
Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or related field plus
2 + years of experience, or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
Ability to travel, domestically and internationally, up to 80%
Strong computer skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner
Capacity to represent the company in a positive light with internal as well as external customers
Foreign language skills a plus
