Job Description

Requirements:

  • Recently graduated from a technical or undergrad program in electronics, computer science, physics, or similar field with 2 yr. degree or currently enrolled in 4 yr. degree program in the fore mentioned or similar fields.

  • Experience with operating, troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating complex analysis tools such as SEM, TEM, FIB, Prober or similar systems is a plus but not required.

  • Experience with Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) a plus but not required.

  • Experience operating O-scopes and digital voltmeter.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Literate in Windows software environments.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities:

This manager will prepare the candidate for a successful career as a field service engineer wanting to be involved with a dynamic team and exposed to a constant variety of customer application areas.

The successful candidate will develop the following skills as part of this experience:

  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics.

  • Familiarity with troubleshooting complex systems and subsystems down to component level.

  • Familiarity with Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) phenomenon technology.

  • Provide troubleshooting and repair support for customers and other field service personnel.

  • Provide input for various reports including identifying and isolating unique problems with system.

  • Assist with on-site installation of complex equipment and follow testing procedures to ensure proper working order.

  • Conduct on-site scheduled planned maintenance visits.

  • Complete and submit field service reports.

  • Provide feedback to management.

  • Cultivate and develop positive working relationships with customers, system users, and company personnel.

  • Develop Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

This is a one year contract position. The pay rate is $24-$26 per hour.<br /> <br /> Candidates should be able to meet all job requirements, including lifting up to 35 lbs.<br /> <br /> Responsibilities <br /> • Performs on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment <br /> • Troubleshoots equipment problems <br /> • Maintains records and reports as required <br /> • Coordinates activities with peers, supervisor(s) and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions <br /> • Orders and installs parts <br /> • Responds to emergency service calls as required <br /> • Instructs customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance <br /> • Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed <br /> • Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials <br /> • Incumbents are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and security of company property including vehicles, tools, etc. <br /> • Employees must also maintain standards of conduct acceptable to both TEA and customers to maintain credentials for being on customer site(s) <br /> <br /> Qualifications: <br /> • Associates degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study; Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology preferred <br /> • 0+ year previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment <br /> • Excellent customer interface skills is required <br /> • Mechanical aptitude is required as well as an ability to use appropriate tools <br /> • Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures are required <br /> <br /> Physical Requirements: Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing.
