Job Description

Requirements:

  • Recently graduated from a technical or undergrad program in electronics, computer science, physics, or similar field with 2 yr. degree or currently enrolled in 4 yr. degree program in the fore mentioned or similar fields.

  • Experience with operating, troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating complex analysis tools such as SEM, TEM, FIB, Prober or similar systems is a plus but not required.

  • Experience with Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) a plus but not required.

  • Experience operating O-scopes and digital voltmeter.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Literate in Windows software environments.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities:

This manager will prepare the candidate for a successful career as a field service engineer wanting to be involved with a dynamic team and exposed to a constant variety of customer application areas.

The successful candidate will develop the following skills as part of this experience:

  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics.

  • Familiarity with troubleshooting complex systems and subsystems down to component level.

  • Familiarity with Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) phenomenon technology.

  • Provide troubleshooting and repair support for customers and other field service personnel.

  • Provide input for various reports including identifying and isolating unique problems with system.

  • Assist with on-site installation of complex equipment and follow testing procedures to ensure proper working order.

  • Conduct on-site scheduled planned maintenance visits.

  • Complete and submit field service reports.

  • Provide feedback to management.

  • Cultivate and develop positive working relationships with customers, system users, and company personnel.

  • Develop Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in electronics, computer science, physics, or similar field * Typically requires approximately 1-3 years hands on technical experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating complex analysis tools such as SEM, TEM, FIB or similar systems. * Basic understanding of troubleshooting and repairing electronic and mechanical systems. * Ability to deal effectively with customers * Excellent interpersonal communication skills; must have a professional working proficiency in English * Literate in Windows software environments * Able to read and interpret schematics * Must have ability to obtain a valid passport and travel regionally and internationally as required * Must possess a valid driver's license * Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
