Purpose and Objective of the Position:

The primary responsibility of the Field Support Coordinator is to aid the Field Service Manager in the planning and coordination of resources, material, and data for field operations.

The Field Service department can at times comprise of a mix of up to 50-60 full time and temporary employees. These employees can be stationed permanently or temporarily to various customer locations throughout North America and at other customer sites globally. The core scope of work for field service personnel can vary but is typically limited to support the warranty period, perform field retrofits, and other field work on KBC supplied equipment to prepared and controlled procedures.

Assignment of personnel to various sites can depend on various aspects such as customer prioritization, material availability, vehicle availability, employee competence relative to work performed etc. It is the responsibility of the Field support coordinator to work together with their manager, the departments within KBC that make these requests, customers, material logistics, and the field service resources in order to organize and plan these site visits.

Upon completion of the work packages the results must be documented and archived within the constraints of KBC's processes and policies. It is the responsibility of the coordinator to manage this data, track and report progress, and ensure the work has been completed per the request.

Major Responsibilities of the position:

  • Maintain a database of all available resources and where they have been allocated.

  • Monitor all requests for field work, status of completion, or planned activities in the field to support the requests

  • Work with Sales logistics personnel to track the availability of material required to complete the field work

  • Process and track completion of field requests (FPR's)

  • Manage data from the field to ensure proper documented and completion of work

  • Prepare regular reporting and metrics of the field service workforce and status of work packages

  • Must be able to follow instructions, safety & environmental rules and regulations.

Required Skills

Academic Requirments:

High School Diploma; required

Associates/ Bachelors; desired.

Technical and Professional Requirements

Demonstrated experience planning personnel deployed in the field, coordinating material availability, and scheduling is strongly desired and part of the daily duties of this position. Minimum requirements of this position are demonstrated planning and organizational skills with a basic understanding of business and technical terms. This position requires the use of Microsoft Office tools frequently. Proficiency in the use of Excel and Adobe are mandatory and required to perform daily duties. Use of SAP for the purpose of tracking material availability is also a skill that must be possessed.
