Partner with assigned customers to ensure they have the right products at the right time in the right placement.


  • Order products that aligns with the needs of the customer.

  • Responsible for effectively displaying store products.

  • Responsible for maintaining effective business relationships with customers.

  • Responsible for arriving promptly at customer locations on assigned route for service.

  • Responsible for rotating stock and removing out of code product.

  • Process merchandise returns and issue credits according to company policy.

  • Ensure the neat and orderly appearance of UNFI products.

  • Responsible for product and/or delivery notification to customers.

  • Assist in hanging shelf tags and promotional POS/POP materials and resets.

  • Sell promotional and sales programs as assigned.

  • Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location.

  • Follow through on customer product requests.

  • Keep management informed of area activities and of any significant concerns.

  • Attend meetings as required.

  • Provides backup for other field sales representatives when needed.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills



  • High school graduate or equivalent related experience

  • Valid driver's license necessary

  • Auto insurance levels that meet UNFI requirements


  • Prior customer service experience in a retail setting

  • System Implementation preferred


  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Time management skills and attention to detail

  • Basic math abilities

  • Ability to work independently

physical Abilities:

  • Ability to get in and out of car multiple times per day

  • Drive to and from accounts safely in city, rural and expressway conditions

  • Ability to set up displays, fixtures, shelving and products

  • Able to tolerate exposure to store and warehouse conditions including wide variances in temperature, dust and dirt

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Field Sales Representative – Orlando, FL The primary objective of this position is to promote the sales of GP ToughRock® and Dens® products in Central and Southern Florida as well as Jacksonville, but not in the pan handle. Key to success in this position will be identifying and building strong relationships with key product influencers in the commercial segment which include: Developers, architects, water proofing consultants, contractors and distributors. Business growth will be achieved by developing and implementing customer plans and territory strategies as well as design side and project specific sales work. Key performance indicator for this position will be the protection and growth of market share and the implementation of the commercial business strategy for the division. This is a home-based position in the Orlando, Florida area. A Day In The Life Typically Includes: * Direct sales efforts of ToughRock® and Dens® product lines in residential and commercial markets in your territory * Identify and build relationships with key decision makers for the sale of ToughRock® and Dens® i.e., developers, specifiers, contractors, design build firms and distributors * Collaborate with inside sales representative on territory specific sales and marketing strategies for ToughRock® and Dens® Products that will ensure continued growth and profitability * Product introduction – discuss specific benefits / advantages of GP's proprietary products such as Dens® Element and DensShield® to key influencers such as developers, specifiers, contractors and distributors * Help set territory goals and objectives for ToughRock® and Dens® sales * Assist Management in forecasting standards by region and district for commercial products * Identify marketing needs and sales tools needed to enhance our involvement in the commercial market * Work closely with Product Manager and Manufacturing to develop product line extensions or new product lines * Participate in all field product claims * Provide monthly accurate market information reports for management team * Maintain accurate up to date customer database that can be shared with our internal Sales Team and also used for mail type marketing programs * Assist in sales meetings * Participate in industry groups, symposiums to promote products, actively set product presentations What You Will Need: Basic Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED * Experience in technical sales * Experience with Microsoft office including Excel * Valid US driver's license * Able and willing to travel up to 50% of the time for work What Will Put You Ahead? Preferred Qualifications: * Bilingual (Spanish and English) * Bachelor's degree or higher * Experience using SalesForce CRM * Previous water proofing systems sales or design experience utilizing Dens® products * Bachelor's degree in engineering, building construction, or architecture * Problem-solving, analytical and mathematical Want to learn more about Georgia-Pacific?
