The Field Sales Representative is responsible for the sales and retention of Neighborhood's members. This position's primary focus is to grow and retain Neighborhood's Dual eligible membership base. Works closely with internal sales and service teams, along with contracted external brokers. Ensure adherence to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines in all aspects of sales activities. This position will significantly impact the growth of new members through relationship building within the community, delivering educational and sales presentations, and providing application assistance.
Will be required to be licensed within the State of Rhode Island under the "Broker License" in support of State licensing requirements governing our commercial insurance lines of business. The handling of Dual (Medicare/Medicaid) potential member calls will require strict adherence to pre-approved scripts and procedures. This role has direct impact on driving membership growth, providing high quality service with a professional, respectful demeanor while meeting the appropriate needs of any potential member.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for meeting monthly sales goal for an assigned territory through the development and implementation of a strategic sales plan. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Sell and promote Medicare product(s) by coordinating and delivering formal sales presentations to consumer groups, arranging private appointments in the customer's homes, and making outbound phone calls to prospects
Manage potential member records and sales activities in the automated lead tracking system, Salesforce
Find opportunities within the territory to generate leads, in addition to those provided by the company, through building relationships with contracted medical providers, senior organizations and other community leaders
Identify prospective enrollees and determine eligibility for participation in Neighborhood's Medicare product(s)
Understand and apply all policies and procedure pertaining to:
Disclosures and provisions of the Neighborhood Medicare product
Enrollment and disenrollment
Marketing and Sales rules and regulations
The covered benefits, non-covered benefits, exclusions and exemptions
Keep informed and adhere to current information pertaining to marketing activity guidelines set forth by various regulatory agencies-this includes providing enrollees with all corresponding materials and documentation
Conduct home visits, and personalized appointments as needed to complete the enrollment process
Complete and submit applications in a timely manner, ensuring potential member enrolls at desired time
Market and present Neighborhood's Medicare line of business on-site at senior centers, assisted living facilities, community events and other sites as designated
Educate enrollees on all aspects of the Plan, as well as answering questions regarding Plan's features and benefits
Provide member retention services to existing customers
Work closely with the Inside Sales, Member Services, and Community Outreach teams to resolve member concerns regarding complaints and potential enrollments or disenrollments
Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with facility and site staff community and provider organizations, as well as City and State regulatory agencies
Conduct and participate in telemarketing/outreach efforts as required
Develop a presence in the local community to help generate enrollments for all lines of business
Travel to worksite and other locations as necessary, as well as evening and weekend hours
Adhere to all Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines and company driven compliance programs, including the Annual Medicare Training
Other duties as assigned
Corporate Compliance Responsibility - As an essential function, responsible for complying with Neighborhood's Corporate Compliance Program, Standards of Business Conduct, applicable contracts, laws, rules and regulations, policies, and procedures as it applies to individual job duties, the department, and the Company. This position must exercise due diligence to prevent, detect, and report unlawful and/or unethical conduct by fellow co-workers, professional affiliates and/or agents.

Required:
Bachelor's Degree
Must obtain an active Rhode Island Brokers License for health insurance within ninety (90) days of hire date
Experience working health insurance sales with a proven track record of success, preferably in Medicare sales
Excellent interpersonal skills, pleasant, persistent ability to "close the deal" sales approach, builds relationships
Strong facilitation and presentation skills
Ability to effectively prioritize and implement tasks in a high-pressure environment and reliably meet deadlines
Self-motivated; ability to work with minimal direct supervision
Knowledge of marketing strategies, processes, and available community resources
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
Ability to travel for work, must have access to reliable transportation. If using personal vehicle, must have valid driver's license and proof of insurance
Flexibility in work schedule to work nights and weekends to meet the needs of members and potential members
Ability to lift up to 25lbs and carry the item up to 200 feet
Preferred:
Knowledge of Rhode Island Medicaid and CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) Marketing rules and regulations
Knowledge of laws and regulations governing health insurance sales in Rhode Island
Experience with Salesforce
