Field Sales Manager
Job Description
Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
Responsible for the performance of the field sales team, inclusive of their training & development.
Facilitate and strengthen engagement with suppliers, inclusive of QBR's and other joint sales activities
Builds consistent operating rhythms with key suppliers within assigned region
Prepares action plans by individual for development of sales leads and new account generation
Teaches appropriate sales processes (i.e. CRM tools, etc.), drives adoption and holds representatives accountable for their effective use
Assist and support the sales offices and inside sales team on all strategies and collaborative sales activities between outside and inside teams
Assist in contract proposals and presentations
Sets examples for outside sales representatives in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational, selling skills and work habits.
Conduct regular coaching and counselling sessions to build motivation and develop selling skills.
Teach field sales team how to prepare for quality sales calls
Maintain contact with all key accounts in the market to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Understand and have a relationship with each field sales rep's top accounts
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business code of ethics and ensure they are communicated and implemented within the team
Delegate authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up

About the role
Responsible for managing a team of outside sales professionals (Key Account Managers - KAM) to meet and exceed specified sales and profitability goals. Drives efficiency and effectiveness of the team, ensures adherence to behavioral standards and develops a professional sales force.

Bachelor's degree in business or related field or 3 to 5 years' experience in sales team management
Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies
Experience in customer relationship management
Experience managing and directing a sales team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Dedication to providing great customer service
Ability to lead a sales team
