The Field Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of Field Account Executives, meeting and exceeding sales and profit goals through the ownership of the team. The individual in this role is ultimately accountable for individual and team productivity and serves as a leader within the sales organization.


  • Develop target account business plan and lead team to significantly grow account sales, services opportunities, and profits

  • Train and coach team to provide in-depth customer technology roadmap and uncover new sales opportunities

  • Develop business relationships with partners to optimize joint selling opportunities

  • Build market awareness of CDW through participation in local/regional industry events, organizations and affiliations.

Strategic Management

  • Establish target account strategies and implementation plans

  • Assist in development and implementation of segment goals and strategies

  • Develop and manage ongoing field coverage sales model

  • Work with field team to effectively utilize Specialists and System Engineers via joint sales calls and on-site assessments

  • Insure collaboration between inside sales and Account Executives in the development of account strategies, follow up programs and new business development

  • Drive interdepartmental collaboration and use as a resource in developing customer relationships.

Sales Management

  • Manage territory effectively through time and project management.

  • Provide consistent communication and timely reporting of goal attainment, field activities, account opportunities, competitive trends and field team accomplishments.

  • Manages solutions pipeline through SPS and Changepoint

  • Adhere to ethical and fair business practices, following the CDW Way principles

  • Collaborate with Professional Services Management team to ensure projects are on time, on budget, and delivered with high client satisfaction

  • Work with the Professional Services Managers to manage customer relationships and monitor satisfaction with the quality of our products and services to maximize client satisfaction

Talent Management

  • Develop product knowledge and sales skills of field sales team by providing ongoing product, services and sales skills training provided by CDW and outside sources.

  • Provide team with professional development opportunities

  • Prepare and give annual performance reviews.

Customer/Vendor Management

  • Develop solid business relationships with high-level decision makers within target accounts

  • Understand each target customer's business model and how to best serve their unique needs

  • Engage local vendor field management, collaborating sales efforts and partnerships with target accounts and new account opportunities


Minimum Qualifications

  • Five years of progressively responsible sales experience in related industry

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or a related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

  • Three years management experience

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders, including senior leadership

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to lead and manage to ensure attainment of critical results

  • Knowledge of business and financial metrics for use as key performance indicators

  • Travel required, 50% local and 25% over night travel

  • Proven track record in planning and execution

The P&C Account Manager will market GuideStone P&C insurance products to SBC prospects and current clients within the West Texas territory to enlist new participants and to ensure the growth and retention of assigned GuideStone business. The essential duties and responsibilities are: * Development and implementation of strategic objectives to place GuideStone P&C products with SBC and Expanded Ministry prospects to meet or exceed management stated goals. * This position requires the Account Manager to live within the stated territory and work from home office. * This position will work with churches with property values as identified by management. * Develop and implement strategic objectives to retain a book of business to meet or exceed management stated annual goals. * Travel as needed to fulfill job responsibilities. * Attend offsite meetings including, but not inclusive, state and national conventions, associations, and other locations that promote goodwill and marketing of GuideStone Property and Casualty products. * Accurately and effectively communicate GuideStone P&C products, benefits, processes, and procedures externally and internally. * Able to conduct on-site training seminars and webinars to further the GuideStone Property and Casualty message for all market segments. * Effectively coordinate with internal GuideStone departments the development of group specific marketing enrollment and sales communication materials. * Through consistent and disciplined outbound telemarketing manage a list of prospective groups identifying key opportunities for sales development. * Consistently enter data into the corporate sales data base ensuring all pertinent information is included on each identified prospect or customer. * Conduct telephone, web-based and face to face meetings with clients and prospects. * Initiate outbound calls and correspondence to effectively communicate to prospects with the goal of building relationships and increasing bound premium. * Through consistent and disciplined outbound telemarketing, manage a list of prospective accounts identifying key opportunities for sales development. Requirements * Bachelors Degree, preferred. * Travel 20% - 40%. * Active state of residence Property and Casualty license and the ability to be licensed in additional states as required. * Excellent MS Office Skills. * Must be a member of a Southern Baptist Church. * Extensive knowledge of GuideStone Property and Casualty insurance options, the legal and compliance requirements for such plans, how they operate, the strengths and weaknesses of the plans and how they relate to competitors products and services. * Extensive knowledge of P&C insurance industry, advanced P&C insurance product knowledge, not-for-profit regulations, tax rules for church based businesses. * Knowledge of organization and decision making process found in Southern Baptist and Expanded Ministry Churches, Associations and State Conventions. * Consistent ability to meet stated department goals. * 5 years outside non-insurance related sales experience, 3 years outside commercial Property and Casualty direct sales experience, or 1 year of sales experience with GuideStone Agency Services. * Track record of sales success. * Excellent public speaking/presentation skills. * Excellent sales skills that can be documented through review of outside sales and retention success. * Excellent written communication skills. * Excellent interpersonal skills with both internal and external customers. * Ability to establish priorities for multiple tasks. * Ability to manage an assigned territory to include travel plans which achieve organizational growth goals while maintaining necessary GuideStone internal office work and personal commitments. * A working knowledge of SBC polity, philosophy and history. * Must have complete confidentiality regarding GuideStone business matters. * Total dedication to customer service excellence. * Self-starter. * Ability to be thorough in helping churches and ministries buy property and casualty insurance. * Ability to organize and gather information for proposals, present proposals, and close sales at a high level.
