Join our team as a Sales Intern, and you'll develop the specialized skills you need to pursue a sales career at our industry-leading company. Under the guidance of our team, you'll build prospecting and product knowledge that you can use to forge and develop client relationships within local communities. As a Sales Intern, you'll:

  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of insurance products, systems, business operations, and sales strategy.

  • Assist Sales Representatives in daily and weekly activities, including creation of prospecting plans, developing Affinity client relationships, and retaining existing accounts.

  • Create marketing and prospecting techniques in partnership with the Branch Manager and Sales Representatives to meet established targets for new business policies and premium.

  • Spend time in the field observing and assisting with sales events and contacting leads generated by events.

  • Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) system to support Sales Representatives with marketing campaigns and communications.

  • Implement social media strategy and presence for Sales Representatives.


  • Undergraduate students working towards a Bachelor's degree in their junior or senior year of study. Sales majors preferred.

  • Competitive cumulative GPA. Additional requirements might apply.

  • Results oriented with demonstrated organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with prospective and existing customers.

  • Possess excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Experience in sales or client service environment (preferred).

The Divisional BDM will partner closely with the DESAT Divisional Sales Leader and all of the DESAT Team, the VMware Enterprise and Healthcare teams and sales leadership as well as the Dell-EMC Enterprise teams and sales leadership to ensure that joint VMware and Dell EMC sales, pre-sales, marketing, consulting and channel operations co-operate to facilitate effective coverage of business opportunities in the respective sales division and drive them to closure, specifically with Dell EMC. This role will be highly complex with significant exposure across senior leadership at VMware and Dell EMC. Consequently, this role represents a unique opportunity to play a major part in the success of VMware. We are therefore seeking a truly exceptional person with demonstrated capability to build, lead and manage a direct and cross-functional team across VMware and Dell EMC. * This role will direct report to the Americas VP of Enterprise/Global Sales, DESAT a recognition of the impact of this role to the success of the Americas. This individual must be highly aligned and work closely with the VP, Divisional Sales Leader and other members of the DESAT team and VMware core and specialist leadership to drive VMware bookings leverage via the Dell EMC teams. This role is highly cross-functional in nature and requires demonstrated skill working in a matrix organization across VMware. * Primary role is to drive attach of VMWare solutions to Dell EMC Americas Enterprise (DTE) accounts in close partnership with Dell-EMC Enterprise teams, VMware Enterprise and Healthcare teams, specialist teams, and partners. Purposeful role in driving pursuit and capture of mutual list of "focus" accounts to be calibrated with Dell-EMC sales leadership. Assist in selling VMware solutions, as well as with entire sales process (Proposal-Quote-Contract-POs). Arbiter of conflict/overlap in portfolio selling situations with Dell-EMC-VMW sales leadership. The RSM will have specific focus on driving attachment of VMware in under-penetrated accounts, leveraging propensity data analytics and providing leadership to Inside Sales and Channel Partner to leverage this sales capacity to drive incremental pipeline. * Secondary role is to assist others on the DESAT team, with deployment of 1) programmatic strategy and execution to drive funnel across Dell EMC Americas Enterprise in coordination, 2) aligned enablement of Dell EMC and VMW teams, 3) Pursuit and Capture strategies and other programs designed to scale the VMware revenue synergy through the Dell-EMC Americas Enterprise business.
