The Field Sales Executive develops and maintains relationships with accounts of various sizes. The Field Sales Executive work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Field Sales Executive focuses on personal sales targets and troubleshoots specific customer problems. Meets targets through cultivation of new client relationships and development of productive relationships with existing clients. Prepares sales presentations, contracts, and proposals subject to review by supervisor. May participate in special projects/programs as assigned, such as training or communication sessions within or outside of the company. Maximizes revenues from sales of the organization's products and/or services through a base of reseller partners in specific assigned channels and/or vertical markets. Locates, evaluates, and recruits potential channel partners, including systems integrators, value-added resellers (VARs), distributors, dealers, or retailers. Supports partners throughout the sales process in all sales-oriented activities, including marketing, advertising, sales promotions, and training to achieve revenue targets. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Performs other relevant duties deemed necessary to achieve department and company-wide goals. Will cover Greater Austin, Texas which includes but is not limited to: Bryan, College Station, Killeen, etc.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Active resident health and life insurance license within the state of Texas

  • Prior sales experience in the health solutions industry

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Self-sufficient, strategic and collaborative

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

  • Willingness and ability to travel at a rate of approximately 75% throughout assigned territory, including overnight as necessary

  • This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits

Experience: * Bachelor's degree required. * 1 years of successful sales experience preferred. * Entry level or new to industry candidates considered. * Strong consideration to candidates with 18 months of experience in the Customer Service Associate (CSA) role within a current or past Touchpoint program, in good standing and with demonstrated proficiency to fulfill CSA responsibilities and a track record of success. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: * Create and implement strategically sound business plans and tactical strategies within the assigned geographic territory to achieve individual, territory and company goals for sales, market share, call metrics, appropriate sample distribution, etc. * Manage daily sales call activity according to defined expectations, with the purpose of influencing customers and increasing product sales: * On behalf of the Client, promote Client's products via live interactions with assigned HCP targets, engaging them in in-depth program. * Profile and manage a list of HCP targets and provide value-added benefits to grow product volume. * Maintain call productivity and metrics that are required by program. * Manage promotional budget. * Listen and respond appropriately to customer needs and questions. * Effectively and persuasively communicate with customers using effective selling, listening and negotiation skills, proper terminology and approved messaging. * Maintain thorough knowledge of Client products and program. * Verify and complete required data entry in PHS Health Solutions CRM systems, such as details of the target's responses and any follow-through actions. * Regularly and timely communicate with the District Manager, as well as members of various PHS Home Office support teams, as required. * Create and maintain a positive impression with Client and Client's customers. * Prepare reports for management as needed. * Fully comply with all laws, regulations and PHS Policies, Code of Conduct, all privacy and data guidelines, relevant state and federal laws and regulations, and terms and conditions prescribed in the Sample Administration Agreements and PDMA Guidelines. * Participate in teleconference and live National, regional and district meetings and training sessions and represent Client at National and/or local conventions when requested. * Maintain all company-provided equipment in good operating condition. * Perform special projects and assignments as directed by the District Manager.
